"Sources at #mufc have distanced themselves from claims in Italy that there have been conversations with Antonio Conte’s representatives."

"Well placed sources believe a lack of available managerial candidates could be another factor influencing #mufc's thinking over Solskjær."
Some quotes, obviously cannot post the full article but that seems to be the gist of it. He ain't going anywhere, so strap in!

It'll sound silly but I can't even imagine Ole being in charge for the Spurs match. It'd be like watching a ghost come out of the tunnel. That Liverpool match just feels like it has to be the end.

Of course he's staying. The state of this club  What an absolute waste.

Probably a case of just needing a bit of time to make all the changes, 3 tough games until the international break so maybe them just waiting until that. It would make sense. Ole isn't toxic enough that we need a caretaker manager in - he can be his own caretaker manager until the break when we replace him.

Of course if he survives past the international break, then I'd fully support a full riot and Old Trafford invasion until the manager is replaced...

This is terrible management from the board. He has lost the players. Who’s he going to play his Brits and Bruno against Spurs.

Players briefing against him and club openly talking to other managers. He's fecked.

Shameful letting him stagger on after all the briefing that's gone on today. Abysmal club management from the board but par for the course.

The club is an embarassment, we deserve our season unravelling, because they are content to sit by and watch it happen and do nothing

Oh feck off please. Don't do this to us, if you need to spend the day discussing it that tells you all you need to know.

Will be nice seeing players' form with him in charge in next 2 games in the league after they have briefed in public that they don't trust his tactics or style.

You think it’s bad now, it will get way worse after a few months of a new manager.

Most of the Ole haters agree he was the man for the job in January last year after having the opposite view months before.

After 9 games seems the tide has changed again.

Deepthroating information to Howard Nurse.
I think there's a damn good chance the board backtrack a bit and Ole clings on until the international break. While the board tap up alternative managers and the media report on it all in what will be a dismal, shameful couple of weeks.

Ole's job is completely untenable now. The players have briefed against him, and there's just no way back from that. And the club are clearly talking to agents and managers sounding out replacements.
Don’t think it was the players. The club did it as Stoney reported it too. They’ve basically decided he gets until the international break while they get the replacement and have made the next 2 weeks unbearable for him. Absolute shits.

Probably just waiting until the international break so we don't have to do the whole caretaker manager thing.

This can't be serious ? All reports today said Conte is open to the job. Are they briefing Ducker something to shut up the media circus ?
Conte would be an awful appointment so I hope it is indeed very serious. We need to figure out how to get to the end of the season and appoint Ten Hag.

 Not surprised in the slightest.

Carrager said it best yesterday about how we’re scared to make any decisions and you could always see that. They’re worried about a nonunited man who would be similar to Jose. That’s why a DoF is so important in the modern game. Someone who has the long term vision and having a manager who’s more of a head coach.

The fear now is that we beat Spurs and City and he clings on longer than he should yet again. The Glazers are desperate for excuses to keep him on because they love his compliance.

They're essentially saying we don't matter fan base with this decision. The fans need to get out and protest and it's fecking depressing that it's come to this for Ole.

i've just seen his interview from after the game on BBC and it's just not good enough.

He has taken the team as far as possible and he should have gone in the Summer so a more experienced manager could take the club to the next level.

Huge mistake not going for Tuchel IMO and even having Ole as assistant at that point perhaps or in the club in some capacity still.

Would be terrible if true, but it will just delay the inevitable for a couple of weeks.

If people thought that yesterday was bad, please do yourself a favor and don't watch the match against City. They are gonna toy with us, might even think to go for a double-digit scoreline.

It's not 9 games ffs.

It's 3 years and our end to last season was horrific.

Stop wumming.

No one is an Ole hater here. He's done nothing to warrant any support for him going forward with how the season has unfolded thus far. We have been a disgrace in almost every game this season.

No it won't, and you know it won't, you just don't want to see your best pal out of a job he quite obviously doesn't have the ability to do and has shown that for multiple seasons, not just 9 games. But I expect no other kind of post from people with their heads stuck firmly in the sand screaming "Look, look how morally superior I am to other football supporters mum!"

Doesn’t really mean anything does it. Sounds like the club have begun talking to Conte. If he wants it seriously enough then we’ll sack Ole.

Yes, instead of rescuing this season, let's wait till it's fecked up completely chasing a manager who might not be interested in leaving his team, then find ourselves stuck with an out of his depth manager for yet another year.

Mancini -> Conte -> Zidane -> Pochettino -> Bielsa

Let's stop talking about managers who have no idea how to manage the biggest club in the world. We're better than taking a chance on a manager that doesn't have experience at an elite level, we're not a down and out case like we were when we appointed Fergie. We could have any manager we flash our cheque book at now.
So we’ve got former or current managers from Leeds, City and Chelsea. Might as well throw Rodgers in there too. I’ve got no issue with a caretaker to see what’s available in the summer. The thought of standing in OT and cheering Mancini is disgusting.
