He played in the 5 nil win over El Savador on the 12th. PSG's league match against St Etienne was 2 days later on a Friday so I'm assuming Tuchel just wanted to give him a rest before the big UCL game at Anfield.
Thanks .

It honestly feels like so many people consider him to be the 3rd best player in the world because of his marketability. I don't think he's even in the conversation.

Lost the ball yet again, shrugs, winges and walks off in the opposite direction. What a horrendous attitude. Everything wrong with modern football. An absolute fanny.

Attitude stinks. Literally walks about the pitch (not the only one mind) and does nothing but little cameo runs.

Tragic Neymar. You guys should really see how for the last kick of the game basically, he cursed at his young teammate Kimpembe for not passing to him

The year he was at Barcelona when they won the treble was he that lazy? He couldn't give two fecks about that game.

Such a waste of talent. Has to be said.

He peaked from August 2015 to February 2016 and has gradually regressed since.

The Clasico where we beat Real 0-4 at the Bernabeu remains the absolute peak of his career.

Laughable that he’s the most expensive player of all time

He's regressed so much, honestly he's Samir Nasri x 100. The player of WC2014 and Barca looks long gone replaced by a fecking show boating, arrogant average player. Needs to sort his head out.

He's still capable of moments of brilliance but his overall game is lacklustre. Just so poor tonight.

Was disgusting tonight. Ball gets taken off him and he walks off. Cnut!

Awful career move going to PSG.

Plays as he pleases and PSG don't hold him accountable.

Struggle to have him top ten.
He didn't look much worse than Messi for Barca which is a tremendous achievement. Think it was a bad decision to go to Paris. There's no way to buy battle hardedness.

Ability-wise, he's probably second only to Messi at the moment. But he will only show it in the French league which obviously won't get much attention or admiration.

Red Card for Casemiro!
I will always take a consistent 8/10 player who gives his all every game and works his ass off for the team before an overhyped, overpriced and overpampered player who can pull off an occasional world-class 10/10 and put in shit 4s and 5s in some other games. You will need both, and the one with flair will always be harder to get, but consistency is the pre-requisite padding around flamboyance.

The Milners have to come before the Neymars. The latter might push your best to a different level when things are going well, but the former defines the minimum you can expect from your side, even when things aren't rosy.

No doubt Neymar will have a ridiculously good game soon, but today he massively let his team down with his lazy, disinterested attitude. It was always going to be difficult without Verratti and Buffon, but they were playing without 3 of their superstars today, and with 10 men on the pitch most of the game.

Edit: Just realized that you could replace Neymar with Pogba in that post, and it'll still hold true. FML.

Barca were the true winners imo - got another young attacker in Dembele and bought a good midfielder in Couthino with that Neymar money.

I still think he's a brilliant player, one of the best around even without the tracking back. I just don't think this PSG side are that good, there's a lot of weaknesses aside from the front 3.

I think he should've stayed at Barca, realistically the only team you make a step up or side ways to to from them are Madrid. Barca should be happy though, Neymar traded for Dembele and Coutinho is a very good deal.

It was a tough game for a player like him. In games where PSG has control, he has space and more freedom and he can make every other player on the pitch look stupid.

On the big stages things are a lot different and the impact of dribbling is greatly reduced.

Hazard never has games this bad. Well, maybe the couple of times when he was played as a striker, but people criticise Hazard for having off months when this geezer loses the ball then casually swags around like nothing happened.

Hazard's had months of being invisible.

Literally takes half-seasons off.

Let's not even start.

He was arguably the third best player around after CR7 and Messi at Barca. This PSG move is bringing him down quickly to Earth and he only has himself to blame. I think one more year at best and he'll seek a move to Madrid.
