Just keep Carrick as part of the coaching staff if Poch arrives, let Phelan leave and push Mc Kenna to the U18s
Why? Hes already stated hes an Ole clone. We need to move away from that and the old player charity

Mmm that blood money. We the red devils. Spurs have debt of 700 million. What happened to startup culture, this is refreshing.

The board couldnt have sacked the lot as who would run the team? Fletcher, Woodward, Murtough? As long as they are moved on by the new permanent manager.

Makes sense after a Top2 campaign + a solid transfer window.

But he collapsed and let the club down.

I propose we should put every manager and his team on annual renewal contract. Just give them automatic 10% increment until they are sacked.

When Mourinho was given a raise, you know what. When Ole was confirmed as permanent manager, we fell off the cliff. When Ole got a new contract, lighting came at speed of light.

In fact, every time when our players got a new contract, their performance went straight to Championship level. OK we need contract to tie down a player, so can't do much about 3-5 years contract.

When real club boards hire execs they do it to create checks and balances within the organisation. We on the other hand do it to give jobs to mates.

We were already stumbling. Even the Ole renewal wasn't necessary. Renewals should remunerate future expected performances and not just be a pat on the back for past performances. Murtough also made public backings when we were well into the Ole out outcries. Honestly if the club wasn't such a mess he and Fletcher should be due a massive inquest into the award of those extensions. Massive managerial malpractice. They were just backing their mates at the club's expense. There was nothing this season to warrant those renewals.

There's nothing wrong with Hartis, so he probably stays, and McKenna is highly rated - but clearly lacks the experience to do the job at the top level. Give him a few years as a suplementary tactical coach under someone decent and he'll do fine. Carrick I have no idea about - but let's face it, the problem is that they are too inexperienced to be the leading coaches, not that they are really terrible coaches and can't function in a more professional environment. For all we know they could probably do a job as regular coaches working under more experienced head coaches.
I keep hearing that McKenna is highly rated. It's been the case since Mourinho hired him. Who exactly rates him highly? The same type of people who think Maguire is world class maybe? McKenna's 29 year old college buddy Eric Ramsay (who landed the set piece coach role) is also 'highly rated' despite barely having experience.

They both earned UEFA badges at relatively young ages but that's it, means nothing really. Ramsay is the youngest Brit to earn the UEFA pro license. I think these guys are smart but they're probably better at self promotion than their actual jobs. The secret fraternity they joined at their university is doing it's job

I genuinely don't know why the board are so contract happy. It's not like any of the coaching staff could get a better job. Same for Ole when he was here.
