Man United's record when winning at half time at Old Trafford - 364 Wins, 35 Draws, 0 Defeats

I don't mind us conceding goals just not stupid goals and against Liverpool out of all teams. It's enough to cause some damage in my chemical systems I reckon. My Oxygen practically turned into farts. If it was CL final I would have passed out.

I almost want us to lose this record so it's off our backs

Hopefully to a worthy team who aren't Liverpool, Arsenal or City.

Next season when we've got one game to go in the league but we're top and 4 points ahead. Losing means Liverpool get relegated but a freak own goal puts us 1-0 up at half time.

I could deal with that haha

It's a remarkable stat. A lot of people get high and mighty about how it's meaningless and put down the people who care about it, especially during matches when it's in jeopardy, but it's obviously an incredible statistic that is naturally at the forefront of people's minds when that situation arises.

Especially as we weren't great side during 80s and until early 90s. Obviously not great over last 13 years either.

365 wins, 35 draws.

The record survives another season. Insane to think that the last time we lost a home league game in which we were winning at half-time was nearly 15 years before you and I were born. That’s 42 years. Nearly half a fecking century. There are grandparents who were born after that.

Wasn't there a game against Liverpool were they equalised in injury time in first half then went on to win? I consider that close as well
There was that game against Everton in October 2021 where they had a goal ruled out in the dying minutes. It finished 1-1, and we were 1-0 up at half-time. That’s the closest I can think of.

The closest this season was the 4-4 against Bournemouth back in December. We were winning at half-time, they went ahead, and we ended up clawing it back.

Yeah... Basically all players born in 1984 are retired by now. Ronaldo and Rooney weren't even born. Ferguson was only 42 winning stuff at Aberdeen and then another 42 years have passed and it's still going on. So many things have happened. It survived 1984-1990 period where we mostly weren't great and from 2013 even though we finished 15th last season.

Absolutely. May it continue for another 42 years.
