Looking forward to this one. One of the strongest U21 squads i can remember for a long time. Not too sure why the Fletchers aren’t out on loan now though.
 
I urge anybody to watch as much as you can of the youth teams this season. They play some great football and all have a point to prove.

I'll also add that they pass the ball better than the first team for the most part and can string some possession together.

I think it shows what a big step up it is to the first team. They are clearly very good players who will have fabulous careers. We just need to be patient with them
 
That's a strong team for this level. Kamason, Fletcher brothers, Amass all should be going out on loan.
 
What a goal! Kamason is class. Should be our back up right back imo

Thompson should have made it 4 but Maguire does it.
 
Possession was 83%-17 % 10 mins ago it’ll be 85% - 15 % by half time
 
Gabriel has that quality of being able to complete a pass while moving the ball quite slowly, like Cesc had. Lets the attacker hit it first time and allows for through balls in tight spaces.

Amass is too good for this level. I would imagine we'll buy an LB and he'll go on loan somewhere (or sold with buyback).
 
This has turned out every bit as bad for Ipswich as I expected. The difference in quality is huge. One of the best halves I have seen from our U21-side ... ever
 
Musa is decent but can be frustrating also

Straight through on goal there and messes it up

Yeah, you can see how they should be somewhere in League 1, like Barcelona B are most of the time, in terms of talent (at least Champo quality overall with some obvious Prem level quality on the ball) X physicality/speed (presumably more like League 1/2 level).
 
People complain a lot about the Fletchers - but in games like these, you see how good they are. Their passing and movement is excellent - they just need to show it at first-team level
 
The little jerk is sent off - he has been awful all game. He could have had 5 yellow cards
 
Worst behaviour I have seen at this level since that Liverpool-player punched Wheatley twice in 10 minutes
