Solid performance. I really like what I'm seeing in terms of ball playing in the midfield. Seems to be a clear plan to keep the ball on the ground and pass our way through the trouble. Santos looks class. Mount was good too. Atleti weren't very good and their press wasn't very intense, but the midfield was still very congested and we passed through it easily.
Other than that, we seem to be doing well fitness wise. Lots more minutes for key players.

He’s also gone through a couple of misfortune errors and come out stronger too. It’s very encouraging.
Good game, we looked in control for most of the game and created a decent amount of chances. Santos and Mount where excelent in midfield, Amad, Lacey, Heaven, Yoro and Shaw also looked very good.
Very good performance. Mount, Santos, Lacey and Heaven looked class. And JJ doesn't look out of place when on the ball.

Another good run out in preseason, glad to see the youngsters get some minutes, JJ and Thwaites both looked shaky/nervous so good to get it out of the way in preseason and give them that experience to help in their development.
Really liking what I’ve seen from Santos so far. He’s the type that frees up the players around him. Does a lot of the dirty work, anticipates passes well, and most surprising to me was his forward passing. His ability to break the lines as been impressive so far.

A lot of positives to take from that game. Shaw, Heaven, Yoro, Santos, Mount, Lacey and Amad all played well. Mbeumo, despite still looking a little rusty, has two goals to hopefully spark him into life. Dorgu was one of the only disappointments really.
Nobody is benching Mount in that CM position if he plays like this and can stay injury fit.
