I think it'll end 0-0 if we play our strongest team.

Rooney coming back in, hopefully Herrera starts as well. Think Fellaini will play as he did great today. Hopefully no more injuries between now and then. Want Falcao to play but just not sure who he'd go in for, and I'm not sure if he'll be fit. Will be a very tight game though, we've always been poor there but they aren't in the greatest of form. Hopefully we get a result.

Toure's going to run through us and score.

With Rooney back, I wonder what formation we'll play.

Their defense isn't as good as Chelsea's but I think Aguero will tear our defense apart throughout the game and bag a goal or two. 2-1 to City.

We'll need Fellaini at his best like today against Chelsea to try to neuter Yaya Toure.

I don't fear them. They are overrated as hell as a team, just a bunch of good individuals. If we perform like today and with even more confidence after today we will get something from this game imo. Herrera and Rooney back is huge for me, we really missed them today.

    City 3-1 Utd.

They'll bring us back down to earth.

    Aren't you the optimist,

after watching city against west ham then who knows what will happen. Every team is beatable.

As far as I can guess The only 2 city players that will pose us a problem is Aguero and silva. So far this season city's midfield and defence has been a little inconsistent especially yaya.

We'll have Rooney back for this and his energy will help no end

    I'll go 2-2 draw.

This is what I'd go for. Get Di Maria back into his best role.

City have been poor this season so I don't see why we can't go there and get a result. That's said they always seem to raise there game against us,especially at the Etihad so it going to be very tough.

Hopefully our injuries will have mostly cleared by next Sunday. It's going to be interesting to see the lineup next week.Rooney is back and will probably slot in for Mata.Fellaini deserves to keep his place and I hope Herrera is fit to slot into the front of our Diamond.

    De Gea
    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Fellaini Di Maria
    Herrera
    RVP Rooney

That's a very solid looking team with plenty of threat going forward too.My big concern here is Rojo, wasn't impressed at all with him today, always seems to have a mistake or too in him.If Aguero is on it, it could be a very rough game for us.I'm going 2-2.(RVP,Aguero,Aguero,Rooney)

    Team should be...

    ---------------De Gea---------------
    Rafael---Smalling---Rojo---Shaw
    ----------------Blind----------------
    -------Carrick--------Fellaini-------
    ---------------Di Maria---------------
    ------------RVP------Rooney------------

Subs: Lindegaard, Blackett, Fletcher, Herrera, Januzaj, Mata, Falcao

Need to put us much 'power' into the side as possible which is why I hope Carrick is finally put in

Hoping Aguero gets banned for this match for the tackle he made on Noble. Also, Rooney will be back for this match. Predicting the line-up for this one is hard. Has Fellaini done enough to keep Herrera out of the starting XI? Carrick and falcao will also be fit.

    De Gea
    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Herrera Di Maria
    Rooney
    Rvp Falcao

The idea is to crowd the midfield to neutral the threat of Silva and Toure. If one of the strikers is one the bench, then Fellaini to play in midlield and Herrera to play as No.10.

Curious how we lineup for this.

Think we can beat them if LVG gets it right tactically actually.

Hard to do it but fellaini keeps that position in front of herrera because he had a great performance. He is also very physical something that we will need against Yaya and fernandinho. Fellaini to do the same job on silva as he did on fabregas. Blind to shadow aguero. Get the ball to the front and rafa along with rooney, di maria, falacao and RVP will do the business.
Right now i feel it could go either way, we could get completely smashed or smash them. They also have a midweek distraction and lost to west ham this week. It could play both ways. Will reserve the prediction till friday.

Rooney and Falcao coming back should get us some goals. Predicted a close 2-1 win for us if we manage to play the same way we did today.

They do have Aguero though, we just faced a Costa-less Chelsea. Hope our defence can kick it up a notch this time.

City will be on the absolute top of their game here. Can't take anything from the West Ham/CSKA performances.

Set up solidly and try and hit them on the break.

I think we should go back to the diamond formation if possible. The defensive line looked pretty good today so no changes needed. If Falcao is fit then he and Van Persie would make most sense because I only would drop Mata for Rooney behind the strikers. Sad to say but it's time to bench Mata. Since he arrived I rarely saw a deadly ball from him. Just sideway passes, hoofing out wide to the left or breadless runs into the box. After Fellainis performance today I would say putting him up front but we need him more deeper against City to compensate their physical presence in CM. Herrera would be lost I think.

    De Gea
    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Blind
    Fellaini Di Maria

    Rooney or Herrea
    Van Persie Falcao or Rooney

If this were a home game, I'd be quite confident.
As it is, I think we basically have to score the first goal to get anything from the game.

We haven't been comfortable against City since the Mark Hughes days.
However, it's a completely new midfield today, so maybe we'll start to have a better foothold of the game.

If I was forced to make a bet, I'd go for City to win 3-1.

I think he could. Herrera Blind and Fellaini and Di Maria as a midfield. Pack it full and Use Rooney and Falcao/Van Persie up front.

The derby is a horrible game these days. They just always seem way more up for it than we are. Kompany has many off-days and injuries, but we never catch him on one of them. He always has a stormer against us.

Still, I'm going for a narrow 1-2 win. Come on! Stoke and West Ham have made them look ordinary, and if you get at them with pace, then they are very beatable. Hopefully Smalling can make it through the week without hurting himself. That would be miraculous.

We might need three out and out centre mids for this, which leaves no room for Falcao.

    Rafael---Smalling---Rojo---Shaw
    ----------------Blind----------------
    --------Mata-------------Di Maria--
    ---------------Rooney--------------
    ----------Falcao------RvP----------

Subs: Lindegaard, McNair, Fletcher, Herrera, Fellaini, Januzaj, Wilson.

    Yes, the diamond!
Same backline of last game to hopefully start getting some consistency. Blind up front to connect both lines & do his silent but intelligent thing. Mata, Rooney & Di Maria to make the play and move forward to add some danger. Falcao & RvP to add firepower. If need be, sub in Fellaini for a bigger threat in the air or add wilson if RvP/Falcao can't do a full match.

That line-up is far too attacking, we'd get destroyed.

Wait and see. I think we're back to having our belief again. LVG will definitely be able to motivate them against City.
