So, any people hoping City wins so they don't lose sight of Pool even further?
No, i've already made peace with the image of Jordan Henderson lifting the PL trophy on the 19th of May. More importantly, if we manage to get a string of good performances together, i think top-four is still up for grabs.

    No....

    Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

I didn't know it'd be on that day. That day is my birthday!

I've had to see us lose FA Cup finals, and a CL final on my birthday, and now this, too? Please tell me you got the date wrong

You know what? Actually, i'm wrong.

Matchday 38 is on the 17th of May.

Don't know if they'll give them the trophy earlier than that as they'll probably secure the title before their last game but yeah... sorry for the upset again.

City will tear us a new one in this game.

Sad, and I hope not, but probably true; they will walk through our midfield like we have 9 players on the pitch. Lingard will also go missing, so 8 players on the pitch.

    3:0 City is my prediction.

On paper, easy stroll for Citeh, smashing us to bits. But the game raisers we've become, I won't even be surprised if we leave there with something. Only to struggle at home against Everton next...

Really fancy us to get a result here. 2-2 or 1-2 United

    It's a nightmare about to become a reality. :(

But it's also a good thing (i think) that they're walking the league. It helps in the sense that the conclusion of the season and the ceremony will come as no surprise. Most of the people i know are talking about it like it's already happened.

At least it's not going to be a title won with us in the title race.

Whatever Ole decides here there's two cardinal sins: playing Perreira or Shaw. City love exploiting shit fullbacks and Shaw has the focus and awareness of a goldfish. Keep him far far away. Perreira no longer needs to be discussed.

Otherwise, hit Pep where it hurts. Over his many years of success, he has yet to find a proper answer to good counter-attacking teams

I agree. It helps with the recovery when it's not so sudden. We have to take the good times for what they were too, and this is just a new phase not the end of the world. It is the end of some jokes though, which is a minor sadness more than anything. I just looked through the RAWK thread's and I'm sad those moments wont continue and that the thread has pretty much been dead for a couple of seasons now. Seemed like even that boombust-cycle picture had been removed from the net  Sad times. But read through those threads again mate it still works for a laugh.

Reckon Williams comes back in for this one. Fergie used to give young players a week to prepare for big games and I reckon Ole will do the same here.

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Williams
    Mctominay Fred
    Lingard / Pogba
    James Greenwood / Martial Rashford

I think we will win this. They have not been in best form and we are doing better in the big games. The only problem is that they normally raise the game in the derbys. Although no Aguero is great for us.

Williams will be substituted in embarrassment within 20 mins if he starts this game. Definitely not the one for him.

On the basis of PSG last year and his performance last night - Fred is turning into the most important player in these big matches. Hopefully he's everywhere again.
    Only when paired with McTominay

    AWB to pocket Sterling.
    Agreed. It's what AWB does.

Dan James is due a goal or two.
    I fervently hope so.

    Rashford thinks he's CR7
You may have that backwards.:lol:

    I predict a thrilling draw.
I dunno... Norwich hung three on these guys...

Given our record against top teams who like to hog the ball, I actually fancy our chances in this one. Thinking a draw or cheeky win are most likely outcomes. I’m more worried about Everton at home.

I think if we play similar to yesterday, he'd fit right in style wise. He's also a great 1v1 defender, which City usually produce loads of out wide.

City are not about 1v1s, they have exceptional team play, and Williams is positionally terrible and will be pulled all over the place. He’ll also be skinned 1v1 for good measure.

Their team play isolates full backs 1v1 constantly, I'd back Williams over Young in those situations and Shaw I don't trust in big games.

Reckon Williams will get a rating over 7 post match if he plays.

    Fifth, realism.

Sixth, your opinion on football results has absolutely no bearing on your everyday personality. If you're anything like me, football is an absolutely minimal part of your life.

He is likely to play against Bernardo or Mahrez who are top class. And De Bruyne likes to play in that zone too. Who is the best right winger Williams has played against?

City will win this comfortably, they always do well against us. They just field all their attacking players and our defence gets overwhelmed.

Any chance Pogba's back for this? If so I'd give us a bit of a chance as he'd be be good to start counter attacks as the AM.

I mean I think they are likely to win of course, I just don’t understand the need to guess at negative results.

I’m guessing in case that result comes in, at which point you can refer back to your prediction and give everyone a ‘told ya so!’ :smirk:

Williams has been a disaster at defending.
