Manchester United | Injury Watch 2024/25

Just really Mainoo and Amad left then I think. Would be great to get them back asap for the run in, particularly the Europa. We've done pretty well last few games to get by with virtually no attacking reinforcements to call on from the bench. Our squad looks ok with everyone fit which never seems to happen
Also Heaven and Evans. According to reports Evans is going to retire this summer so would be great to see him get some minutes in last few games of the season.

It almost seems to good to be true. If we beat Lyon and Amad and Mainoo come back then I can see us having a strong finish to the season. We have options to change things from the bench in games which has been lacking for some time.

Mount and / or Shaw will be injured again before April is up

Great to hear most of the players are slowly coming back. If Shaw can be ready to play some minutes soon that would be great as well, though with Yoro and Heaven coming back we'll have enough cover there.

Imagine having 3 or 4 left footed players fit at any given time

Judging by Amorim's reaction it's serious. Absolutely gutted to be honest.

Didn’t he get injured after the first couple of games for us?
Yeah, his first or second pre-season game for sure. Not sure if he had an issue when we signed him but if he did then he recovered for the start of pre-season at least.

I love Yoro as a player, but at some point you have to question why the club insists on buying injury prone players

You’d think with the amount of injury prone players we’ve signed over the last decade the first thing we’d look at when identifying potential targets is their injury records. Anyone with questionable one we should steer well clear no matter how talented they may be.

He looked to be in tears when he left the field. If that’s the case I suspect it’s his foot injury and he will be out for a whilst.

I’m sure we identified an issue with his metatarsal during his medical but decided to proceed with the signing anyway.

You’d think so. It’s such an easy thing to check, and yet we seem to just hope for the best

Ahh ok, I didn't know that; I was away when we made the signing (literally was pulling into the airport when I got the notification of a breakthrough with the signing) so I wasn't following it that closely, but remember being gutted in that pre-season game.

Real Madrid are laughing their socks off the fact that we ended up splashing the cash on Yoro. They'll wait til his contract is up then take him for free in the end.

Pretty sure they're lining up Saliba and maybe Gabriel.

The only saving grace about the Yoro injury is that it’s at the end of the season and he’ll likely only miss one meaningful game. Granted that game is extremely big.

Our most important game in years. This game feels like it will shape the fortunes of the club for the next 5+ years. The implications are huge. No saving grace with this injury.

I was convinced Evans got back into squad and now it seems he's still injured? Obviously wouldn't expect him to get minutes tomorrow but would be nice to see him play one more time at Old Trafford before retirement.
