what about the muslim supporters, would they buy one because of the cross? i know it is just a logo, but it could be that a lot of them wouldnt want one.

I didn't like it when it was first leaked, but it's kinda growing on me. Doesn't look too bad, tbh.

It's almost that. There are one's on the internet with and without button order. With red or black buttons.

The video show it's with button and the button is black. I think Mata's only looks red because of the quality

I would have prefered without button. That the sponsor's logo... has been said here before often, looks awful

Have the players been CGI'd into that?

Also, when did we start having "Youth. Courage. Greatness" on our shirts? It sounds like a Japanese marketing slogan for a nappy.

If you're looking for maximum exposure. You don't do it during a World Cup.

Unless you're at the World Cup, of course.

A guy on reddit removed the logo and left the text. Sad it wont be the final design :(

Chevrolet's recognition is in the logo arguably more than the name itself.

There's not much you can do with the brief of plain red football jersey. Aside from that god awful chevron we had a while back what else can you do? Most kits that get admired are multi-toned yet Nike will be lynched from the nearest lamppost if they introduce a kit that was merely partially red or with another colour encroaching on it. So we'e stuck with pretty much the same kind of design each year with a different collar.

It's a bow tie, not a cross. Besides only like 2% of Muslims place big importance on little things like that, I'm willing to bet. Shame they're the most vocal.

Back to the kit, I still don't like the white one but I will wait to see Mata and RvP wearing it. That might change how I feel about it.

Every year we get this shit. "IT'S HORRIBLE, feckING HELL I WANT ADIDAS THIS IS SHIT", kit comes out "Oh it's alright actually"

Read some years ago a muslim leader saying that Muslims should stop waering United shirts, because of the devil. So thought this wont go down too well. It does look like a cross though. Anyway, i find the kit looks decent. But the one without the Chevrolet logo looks 3 times better imo.

Sounds like the kit deal is still open. Certainly doesn't bode well for Nike as surely they'd have it all wrapped up by now.

As for the 14/15 kit, i'd heard Monday 7th?
The figures in that BBC article are staggering...
£60m per year for 10 years (TBC)
£53m per year from Chevrolet
£15m per year for training kit sponsor and renaming of Carrington
Total = £128m per year

Even if you're not a Woodward fan when it comes to signing players, there's no doubting he's got a talent for getting the most out of sponsorship deals.

I thought that man behind De Gea was the 'bobbins' guy at first glance.

As a muslim supporter of United I've never even thought of the Chevy logo as a cross until reading this post. Obviously I can't speak for anyone else, but imo it would be very daft to associate that logo with Christianity.

exactly. if the guy thinks that's a cross, then every single + on a keyboard, equation or anything else would be deemed the same too.

United shirts have been sold in countries like Saudi Arabia with no problems whatsoever. I remember the devil thing but no one gave a shite really.

As for the Chevy logo looking like a cross, again its no big deal I think. Chevrolet sell loads of cars in Muslim countries. No one has ever said it looks like a cross or a symbol of Christianity.

Why do shirts get leaked like they're a new signing or something? Jesus christ. People hardly notice them after the first game.

I have every shirt since 1998 and always hope they look nice, so I am one who eagerly awaits the new shirts. As soon as the season is over I am looking for leaks on the web.
