The refusal to commit to any type of press at times is maddening.

The diamond isn't working. We need to change shape.

Greenwood needs to be taken out in HT. Shocking. And people talk about James. Fred to. Slowing down everything, being on yellow and so many wrong decisions.

I would guess that we will see different fighting from us i 2nd half.

McTominay is not allowing Fred to press and the defenders shite themselves when being press bar Shaw.

Shades of LvG in this system...but with more fluidity and opportunities in attack (if only our passes stuck)

Believe it or not, I'm starting to not mind it....despite how it looks...and despite the hard watch that is our playing it out all the time.

We have been so flat. No energy or movement. LvG would have been proud of that tumescent display.

We really are Jekyll and Hyde. From the sublime to absolute tosh. Our flanks are totally getting exploited and Ole is sat there on his arse not doing anything to cover up which has been an obvious flaw in the set up from the first minute. That low block is making things worse along with the zombie passing.

Nothing to get excited about that half but second half will be better

Not sure why Ole has swapped Fred and McT. Fred his a pressing machine and has the energy to cover the wide areas. He should be on the right, whilst McT should be at the base.

Also, Bruno is giving us no tactical discipline at all. I get that he wants the ball, but sometimes sticking to a position is more effective.

This game is there for us to win if we make some minor changes. Not a good watch at the moment, though.

What an abysmal half. Only one team out there playing any football and it’s not us. Get Matic or VBD on for McT. If we have no width we need to create through the middle, which we aren’t doing right now.

    Hairdryer worthy performance so far.

Talk all you want about tactics but when there's no movement off the ball and possession is given away so easily you will not win matches.

We’re going to feck it up in the back with our short passing bullshit.
This is our problem for me....just play it high up....we're clearly not great plying out from the back, why bother keepimg it there.

Been a long time since i've seen an Arsenal midfield batter ours so much but they're not creating that much either.

Why did Ole move Fred out of box to box and swap his role with McTominay? It sounds really bizzare.

I think VdB and Cavani will be good subs, as folks have said, we're not really able to deal with the pressure.

I think maybe even VdB for Greenwood and really pack that midfield and introduce some fluidity.

No we shouldn't, they had one more shot than us and both of theirs were off the target, we had one on target, how did you figure that deserves them leading 0:3 I really don't know.
Not saying it should be 0-3 but they've had plenty more chances than we have

People getting their knickers in a twist a bit too much, they had more possession but barely did any more with it, not a single shot on target.

Vdb on for McTominay would be a good move imo, will help us beat that press and play some better passes, as much as I love mct I cant remember him doing anything useful.

This game is made for Cavani.
Definitely. There's been about 6-7 instances where Rash or Greenwood have come for it, and lost it, either being shoved over, or just not being strong enough to hold it.

Us and Arsenal can only dream of the quality that use to play in this fixture.

An almost identical performance to the Chelsea game last week, and I can't help but feel it's the system not functioning as intended rather than the players underperforming.

Taking Mct out of the side and replacing him with Mata will go a long way to changing our fortunes in this game.

We can't keep the ball through the middle and have no wingers. I'd take one of the midfielders off for Cavani and move Rashford and Greenwood out wide.

Arsenal wanting our fullbacks to have the ball. Us only being capable of progressing the ball through high-risk actions and completely reliant on Bruno and Rashford for something to happen.

    Partey has bossed the midfield.

We were rubbish that half, Shaw did well but the rest have struggled. We need to change something, and we shouldn’t have to wait 45 minutes to make a change when it’s clearly not working. This team is good enough to play a lot better than this, either it’s on the players or the management.

It's why I just can't take Ole seriously yet. He's yet to have us consistently playing well with a defined style if football.
I think it goes beyond Ole sometimes but I agree with our lack of a defined style. Sometimes that can go for us as we rely heavily on individuals to make something out of nothing which can be hard to read from a opposition pov but other times we look like a bunch of players who've looked to have never played together before.

Slow first half with Arsenal showing alot more aggression in pressing. Rashford getting brought down everything he turns somebody it seems. I reckon we will change things up second half.

All of our players are taking too many touches and making too many square passes. We are dreadful every week in the league.

Got away with it that half. Probably need to change shape in the second. Thankfully Martial's suspension ends after this. Been missed today.
