Elanga and Rashford have no business in this team anymore

The starting 11 needs changing up for this game.

    Casemiro infor McT
    Ronaldo for Rashford
And throw Antony straight in for Elanga

At minimum we need to do two of the above imo

    De Gea
    Dalot - Varane - Martinez - Malacia
    Casemiro
    Fred - Bruno
    Sancho - Martial - Rashford

    A draw would be fine.

I think Antony will start. Eriksen drops out probably.

    Dalot - Varane - Martinez - Malacia
    McTominay - Casemiro
    Antony - Bruno - Sancho
    Rashford

There is no way that Martial starts even if he’s fit- missed too much training! Also doubt Antony plays many (if any) minutes for the same reason. I’d start Casemiro for Elanga and maybe Ronaldo for Sancho and stick Fernandes on the right wing

Just Fergie them and hit them on the break. Arteta fancies himself as Pep’s disciple so they’ll have a ton of possession.

Really hope Martial is back because we need a player up front the ball will stick to.

They are having a great start to the season but we will be the best team they’ve faced so far.
Yes, we could really do with Martial for this one- and Anthony, though some are saying that won’t be possible. It will be a tough game - and I’m not sure we’re quite ready for them yet. By next season I think we’ll whip their arses though. Something to look forward to, eh?

The substitutions against Leicester just made the team progressively slower and slower.

So I would try to go like-for-like against Arsenal. So keep Eriksen on the bench for Bruno, Keep Antony on the bench for Elanga (or vice-versa)

If Ronaldo is being used as a sub, then when he is coming on you can’t also remove the pace of Rashford/Sancho

The balance needs to be right for the full 90 mins...if that makes sense, I made a meal of explaining that.

Need the midfield that can best retain the ball. Casemiro and? We can’t keep running around chasing after our own mistakes especially so against a young side with more stamina than us.

I would go with this as well. Most important thing is to keep the back four and have Casemiro in there for the big game experience and defensive ability.

It’s easy to forget Ronaldo had no pre season. He hasn’t looked physically or mentally match fit so far.

That said he showed glimpses tonight that he may be able to modify his game and make it work in this team..More then anything he needs to just get over himself and get on board with what ETH is trying to do. I could see him flourish if he’d just change his game a little which a player of his quality can do.

A win here would be another massive step. I’m hoping the two defeats at the start was a sharp shock that will help in the longer run. Rather then some manager bounce where you win your first 5-6 games and the old guard are left in place until it all falls apart.

I’d be keeping and expecting starting 11 to be very similar to tonight and Southampton. Maybe Caseimero starting , not sure if Ronaldo will,

Scott plays, he had a good game today with the data to back it up.
Antony off the bench then makes his full debut on Thursday

    Antony Martial/Rashford Sancho

    That's what I want.

But I reckon it will be a Mctominay Erkisen base with Bruno ahead. I reckon Antony will start over Elanga.

A really difficult lineup to predict. Could reasonably see any of Casemiro, Fred, Antony and Ronaldo come in for this game. Intrigued to see the lineup especially with under 72 hours rest. It will be a tough game though that's for sure.

Need to start Ronaldo. Their defence is physically good but still very inexperienced and Ronaldo will be able to find the pockets of space in the box to score.

Rashford won’t be able to outpace Saliba so that can’t be the game plan. However we need to capitalize on them starting Ben White at right back, we definitely should be able to get in behind of him.

Looks like Partey and potentially Odegaard are out with injury, so they’re there for the taking.

Wonder whether Eric opts to go toe to toe with them lot or if he chooses the more conservatives option as we did against Liverpool, nevertheless it wouldn't set the tone for the rest of the season, monumental game this is.

Starting casemiro might not be the best idea as he needs more time to settle in, the question of our center forward is also a difficult one, if martial remains unfit do we persist with Rashford or give back Ronaldo his Starting spot, quite a few conundrums right there.

Reckon it'll be a bit soon to see Antony starting unfortunately but I'd hope he can at least come off the bench and make an impact. I suspect we'll keep a pretty similar team to the one that started tonight, maybe with Casemiro coming in for Elanga.

I'll go with this as well but Eriksen is looking drained. I think he needs a bit of rest so I'd play Bruno there although if Christian is okay definitely him.

I'd like to be positive but I don't really see us getting a result in this game. Arsenal have been excellent this season. Our defence has been brilliant since Liverpool so I don't think we'll make it easy for them, but I think our attack has been rubbish in the last couple games and Arsenal have a good defence. Hard to see us scoring. Probably 1-0 or 2-0 Arsenal. Obviously hope we do win.

Not going to be popular but I prefer Elanga in the bigger games.
For his work rate, sure. But if Antony is ready we cannot be messing about. Him and Sancho please. The big question is up front, if Martial is out. I could also see him starting McTominay because we lack height, and their centre backs are pretty dangerous at set pieces.

Martial won't be fit for this. I'd give Ronaldo the start. Antony on the bench.

    De Gea
    Dalot Varane Martinez Malacia
    McTominay Casemiro
    Sancho Bruno Rashford
    Ronaldo
Fred, Eriksen, Antony options from the bench.

Likely a loss but this is another team coming in where nobody expects us to win. Which means these guys are probably going to play like they did vs Liverpool and that fast and furious style suits them very well.

We matchup in some good ways with them, we have speed. Need a big game from Dalot. I'd love to take 3 from these cnuts and make Souness choke on his spotted dick.

Weren’t resident Ajax and eredevisie watchers had commented that ETH used to not make much changes to his starting XI and sticks to the winning formula?
I think he does minimum changes with Casemiro coming in for Eriksen and Martial/Ronaldo comes in for Rashford/Elanga

If we can beat Liverpool we can beat these guys at OT. They've had a good start to the season and I think they have a great shot at top 4 but ...it is Arsenal after all. It's not City or Liverpool.

I'm intrigued by the team EtH puts out and if he goes for the same kind of energy we saw against Liverpool or whether he mixes it up a bit. Would bring in a more energetic midfielder for Eriksen perhaps.
