    De Gea
    Bissaka - Bailly - Lindelof - Telles
    Bruno - McTominay - VDB
    Greenwood - Cavani - CR7

    4-3-3
Bruno should be told to help out more with our transitional play, he's not our striker

Atalanta have won 3 of their 7 Serie A games, losing 2.

    They have +1 GD.

Be real, the are not going to tear anyone apart.

We win this 8 or 9 times out of 10 I think, Pool have a tougher game and will hopefully be tired playing us on the weekend and hopefully the stars are aligning a bit now.

I've been down today re the result and performance, but this really is a chance to refocus and build momentum again.

    Please Utd, just win.

    2-0.
Thank you! Needed a bit of positivity!
Let's get a couple of wins and get back on track!

It is opposite. Best team for us to play right now. They love to play attacking and don't adapt to anyone. Perfect for our individial attacking approach.
Leicester hardly sat back playing 2 up top now did they ?

Atalanta now will be coming into this with a little confidence boost after a convincing win today. I really hope we can get through this group at least there would be a hope of doing Chelsea in the second half of the season.

They scored 4 this afternoon and Ilicic will be a handful for our central defenders.

Same was said against young boys and the many more teams before and after em.

Atalanta will play their usual high-tempo, exhilarating game, even if this year's instalment has not really clicked yet and their overall quality level seems a bit lower than two or one year ago. After that, approach usually makes the difference in these games, that's why a packed Old Trafford and a focused Ronaldo should once again lay some paper over the usual cracks you all keep on lamenting. As a Bergamo native, I would like to see a 1-3 Atalanta, but I really think it will be a 2-1 United.

Two things that seem to be a guarantee based on current trends: 1. We’ll be easy to play against and 2. We’ll fail to keep a clean sheet. If we win it will be undeserved, possibly on a counter or penalty after being battered for the majority of the game.

I think we'll actually show up for this. 2-1
Then next match back to the same shite.
    Quite possibly, yes.
Ole is a lucky manager (for himself). He seems to get results so that he stays safe in a job, meanwhile, our style of play remains abysmal.
Even last year, we finished 2nd (which is actually a good achievement), but most fans knew that style of play was going to lead to losses.

Ole should revert the SOS tactic:

    5-3-2

    DDG
    AWB Lindelof Maguire Shaw Telles
    Bruno VDB Fred
    Greenwood Ronaldo

Many putting VdB as a starter, when he doesn’t start even during a friendly

He will not give the keys of the midfield to a player considered, by him, less than Jones in a picking order

So Atalanta will come into this game off the back of a comfortable win scoring 4 goals and are up against a United side whom had uncomfortable defeat yesterday displaying each and every flaw and conceding 4 goals.

We flattered to deceive last year. There's no question about that. This year our position will reflect our actual displays.

Something like that. Just to see if it helps us stop shipping chances away.

Probably need to go 5 at the back, we keep getting outplayed.

He will do his usual though cause Fred is back:

    De gea
    Dalot Lindeloff maguire shaw
    Fred Mctom
    Bruno
    Greenwood cavani Rashford

Sigh, i wont be watching, ive decided to stop until he gets sacked, my eyes are to dry now, ive been saying the same thing about his zero style for 2 years. Romano came out todag, said he is 100% backed.

    Under soil heating.
Got tickets for this and can’t be arsed to go or even pass them on. First time this has happened under Ole which says it all. Setting off at 3pm to get back at 1am to watch a non-existant midfield is just a waste of my life and money.

Pass them on and stop being a slapped arse. No-one is forcing you to go.

6th in the Italian league, must be crap?
We got smashed by a side which is 12th in the premier league and by fecking young boys and i dont even know which league they're part of. I'd fear even if utd faces the Caf's MatchdayThread XI.

Lose this match and it will be curtains for Ole. After 3 matches we will just have 1 win which just won't be enough to qualify for knock out.

And I really think we will lose this. If we struggled against Leicester, I don't know how will we cope up against this lot.

Curious to see what Solskjaer does in light of his "something has to give" comments which suggest some sort of change is coming. His back is against the wall at this point so it will be interesting to see where he turns and whether he has any firm ideas to try and change things.

    It’s not difficult
    Drop Maguire for Bailly
    Drop Pogba or Bruno
Play Fred and one of the Ms
Play Cavani up front and Ronaldo left, Greenwood or Sancho right

    Prepare to sub - Pogba/Bruno/Matic/Sancho/Greenwood/Cavani/Ronaldo

    Rashford should start on bench

We could pick them off like we do Leeds but we're facing a 352 probably like Leicester at the weekend, could again lose the midfield battle.

I expect us to show up for this one, it's a must win home game but Ole's CL record, our poor form, I'm afraid we'll be saying hello to Europa very soon.

    Here is my take.

    Back 4 remains the same.
McFred, Bruno in MF, Greenwood/Ronaldo/Cavani. We can carry 1 passenger - Ronaldo. Everybody in MF and Forward works their guts out. I trust Cavani and Greenwood to press from the front.Once Cavani tires, we replace him with Rashford.

We don't have to think about Pogba because he has talked himself out of the team.

    I think this will work.
