Martial's United career is done also.
He could be injured. He could join them later etc.
How do you know that Rangnick just simply did not choose him? Obviously, he will be in the squad if he's fit.

I hope people aren't expecting us to be out there gengenpressing today. It will be a similar performance to what we saw under Carrick I think as Ralf has basically only had time to introduce himself to the players. Our shape will probably be less chaotic but that's it.

I'm expecting Martial to be given a chance as Rangnick seems a massive fan unlike Ole and Mourinho who left the bloke out in the cold when he's so talented. Also Greenwood and Donny to be given a chance and start.

    4-3-3

    De Gea

    Telles
    Maguire
    Lindelof
    Dalot

    Fred the Red
    Donny
    Fernandes

    Martial
    Ronaldo
    Greenwood

Sancho getting a well deserved rest and come on in the 2nd half.

Fernandes told in no uncertain terms by Rangnick to be disciplined and stay in the midfield or be benched.

    4-1 United!

    Let's go!

Mirror reporting CR7 is a major doubt for today's game, not sure we can trust that..

Is there any other news outlets reporting the same?

    Henderson
    Dalot - Varane - Bailly - Telles
    Mejbri - Beek
    Sancho - Bruno - Lingard
    Cavani

    - Proactive goalkeeper suited for the new brand of football
    - Underperforming defenders dropped
    - Academy prodigy plus press maestro in midfield
    - High work rate attackers

Let’s get the heavy metal era started with a bang!
Ya so 4 of those are either injured , on international duty or haven’t travelled

Reading on here they’re expecting Mejbri , Varane and Henderson in goals and a 4-2-2-2 formation so they will be expecting 90mins of gegenpressing too.

For me, VDB needs to start this game. We have good fixtures for him to get himself in the right rhythm. McFred should be a thing of the past now. A team like manchester united should not be just thinking of how to defend, we should think of how to impose our character and have our tempo lead the match. We will never get that with McFred. Fred will be a starter, deservingly, and VDB should partner him as he would offer the brains in midfield. We saw a sample of what he can do against Watford and he should be given the change to do it again. After a season and a half of being given a small role, we should actually try to benefit (or see if we can benefit) from him - otherwise sell him.

Rashford should surely be dropped. He hasn't been himself lately. It's unfair to have him as an automatic pic when we have someone like Mason on the bench. He was actually having a good start to the season.

This. There may be one or two players difference, but that's it. Saying that we should beat these 3=1 I'll go for

I have a problem with both of these...I really think Greenwood, Rashford, Sancho and Amad are worth persisting with as wide but inverted forwards...cutting inside and allowing the fullbacks to overlap. These formations would not really seem to be maximising the potential of the strongest part of our team- our attackers.

would be happy with itin the short term to steady the ship.

I love how in almost every predicted line up, Donny features.

If Rangnick doesn’t make him a starter either, can we just accept it’s never gonna happen here?

I have never understood why some rate Donny. He cannot cope with the physicality of the PL and he is an inferior player to Bruno. He should be sold and then use the money to buy a CDM.

I am really looking forward to this game. I expect evrryone will be trying their hardest to please the new coach and I am hoping for a very aggresive attacking performance.

I haven't see any reports about it.

But watching him against Arsenal on Thursday, I fully expected Ronaldo to start this Sunday on the bench. He looked absolutely knackered in that game, and I doubt 3 days will be enough time to recover back to 100% at 36 years of age.

I think many will be disappointed when we see the starting 11 and formation. I can't see him making wholesale changes too quickly as they squad won't have had enough time to adapt yet. If we do a drastic change of playing style then we may be thumped.
A similar set up to the Arsenal game, with a few tweaks should be sufficient. We played well midweek and should carry momentum forward.

You have too many Bruno's in that lineup, which is unfortunate for you and Bruno, and probably United too. Remove the one alongside Fred and I reckon you're spot on.

Ralf has only been in charge a couple of days, so he'd be reluctant to make too many changes to the lineup or tactically, I'd imagine. Expecting to see a similar set up to the Chelsea game.

    Oh, and we'll win 4-0.

Can one of the Bruno clones be last season’s version please?

I can see Ronaldo being on the bench today. He looked exhausted before he was taken off against Arsenal.

It'll then be a boring few days of "Ronaldo dropped" hysteria.

Not on the TV in the UK... bonkers. When is the PL going to wake up and modernise with an affordable streaming type service showing every game? They'd make a feck ton of money. Also that silly 3PM rule needs to be destroyed.
