If we had another midfielder/attacking mid instead of a striker, we'd be much much better. RVP and Falcao are in each others' way most of the time.

We need to up the tempo a lot more the second half and score at least one more because we will concede.
Definitely. No surprise that a partnership with van Persie doesn't look good. Not a single sign of anything developing.
Not many options off the bench today in that regard though. Don't think Januzaj's suited to this.
But we really need to go with just one of van Persie and Falcao, either next to Rooney or as a solo striker. I'd drop van Persie and go for Falcao, personally.

Would love to see a 4-3-3 in the future, with either Falcao or a new striker up top.

    Across the Universe....from Old Trafford.
    McNair has a wonderful future.

He looks to be like the old fashioned footballer we all love coming from these shores.

No nonsense. Get the job done and off home.

Our defence looks so much better because of him. Rojos and him have been pretty solid at teh back for us.

I'd love Falcao to score, i'm certain he will explode as soon as he gets his first.

i am not sure Carrick would be an automatic pick in this side if Blind plays like this.

I'm getting fecking sick of the opposition getting everything that can be considerend a penalty against us, while the same cannot be said the other way around. Let's hope it evens out during the season but at the moment, no fecking way.
Although i agree with you, I think our inexperienced defenders just challange a tat wild and seemingly uncontrolled. That way the ref is easily pursuaded to give pen like that challenge from behind by Shaw..

We need to be more cautious and just smarter in general

I think the refs have been poor in most of our games this year, It's actually starting to make me a little RAWK like. . .The feckers. . . are all against us.

Di Maria is brilliant, and Rafael is having another good game. I think we need to get Shaw forward more on the left too, and get the ball into the front 3 a bit quicker in general. Defensively we've looked comfortable for the most part, but there does seem to be a little bit of panic when the ball is crossed into the box, which is probably symptomatic of the lack of an aerially dominant player or a real organiser back there. Generally a decent 1st half though.

We need a couple more goals. Can't be keeping it only 1-0 when they bring Eto'o on

The pundits wouldn't have batted an eyelid if that had happened to us and nothing was given.

Blind has completely controlled the game and Valencia's been good.
Yeah, it surprises me a little that we haven't tried him in a more central role before. Yes certainly played there for Ecuador and he's fast, strong, hard-working and doesn't overcomplicate things. That's a pretty good list of attributes for a ball-winning midfielder!

Just close your eyes, forget your name
Really pleased with that apart from Shaw being rash at the end, but it'll come.

Hopefully Falcao can bag one this half, but all in all we look so much better than even a couple of weeks ago.

    Di María is ridiculous.

Early corner to United. Cross from Di Maria finds Falcao and his header deflects wide.
