But he’s been very good defending
That's true. I would try him as a cover for AWB. You can see so many times how he slows down/ruins the action just before the final pass because he needs to use his right foot. It's not his fault it's on Ole.

Rashford having a really bad game! Has been the worst player on the pitch. Needs to simplify it a bit and pass to the nearest player quickly for a bit. Really going through a bad patch of form.

Martial missed 2 good chances, but is looking sharp.

Overall, we need to put in a performance in the second half. We cant win this just by turning up!

We weren't on it when the game started and we were very lucky that Bailly had his wits about him. He made a couple of very important blocks, especially on the near post run. However, after the drinks break we took control of the half and while our play hasn't been brilliant we have had the territorial advantage. Only need to turn the screw that bit more to make it happen. If we can play Greenwood into shooting positions we can take the game away from Copenhagen.

Bruno & Rashford been very poor, Rashford is the main culprit, everytime the ball was passed on the left side, it end up to goal kick or opposition possession. Completely the opposite when the ball was passed on the right side.

Fred + Pogba behind Fernandes isn’t working, all three are struggling.
Some kind of change is needed, I’d fetch Fred off, he’s a nightmare when he plays that deep.
If we remember how to keep the ball and move it around during half time we’ll be fine.

If Dan James put in Rashfords performance for that 45 mins there would be a meltdown here

Three or four of our players are not working hard enough. In the first twenty minutes, Copenhagen were winning all the 50/50s because they are working as a unit. Rashford and Pogba just strolling around the pitch like this is five aside on a sunday morning after a night out.

Am I the only one that thinks that 90% of the time it looks like we have a back 3?

    Against Copenhagen.

    Wtf.

Started to turn the screw at the end, shows Copenhagen will tire. As long as we dont concede a stupid goal i think we'll break them down next half.
We're playing ok, remember they are not taking the game to us at all. We suffer with williams coming in on his right too much. Needs to have some confidence to get to the byline and stretch the play.

Fred playing well but needs to break the line a bit more to give pogs and fernandes a chance to turn on the ball. Bailly trying his best to play him into trouble. Fred not breaking the line means rashford comes back to receive the ball to allow midfield to transition which means copenhagen can isolate martial and greenwood

It's hard to break down a well drilled organised team who give up 80% of the pitch.

We've been unlucky with some of the half chances and need to control the ball in tight spaces better.

Pogba is not showing enough for the ball in midfield. Rashy has been shit. Bruno needs to get more on the ball.
Agreed. Whatever has happened to Rashford in the last few games. He has to be careful he does not go down the Lingard route of concentrating on his off field exploits instead of doing it on the pitch.

Fullbacks legs that turn to jelly once they're near the opposition box is not a good sign.

We will be ok and go on to win in the secodn half I feel, started to play a bit more after the water break and the defence woke up then too.

On thing for me, glad Bailly started, a couple of good blocks from crosses he put in which for me if Lindelof was on the pitch, could have been two goals.

Dont know whats going on with Rashford. Last few games he seems to do good links up with these little 5yd passes in teh corners......and little else. He looks lethargic and not running at the full back, on a different wavelength to those around him. If the season started now with Sancho in the side, Id put Sancho on the right and drop Rashford for Greenwood on the left. What a superb finish from him yet again.

All in all a sloppy and lazy first half but the last 15mins give me confidence we will get the result, but these poor performances of the last 4/5 games need to end after this one if we are going to win this tournament

Rashford doesn't look right since the back injury. We are in the champions league because of him, some of the comments are ridiculous. He's having a bad game, wish we could drop a few of you.

It’s a European QF, so naturally Copenhagen will be finding another level. Was never going to be an easy game, especially when they have not conceded more than a single goal in any of their past 30+ European games. A thrashing was always unlikely.

I’d like us to just push the CBs up a tad more and slow the tempo down a tad. It feels a bit rushed when space is often being created with little effort. Keep recycling the ball and Bruno and Pogba will find the forwards.

I really don’t like the midfield shape. Pogba is too isolated and that makes it easier to cover his options on the ball when you know only one person is going to pass through the lines from that position. Need to have Bruno next to him. Free up some space.

Our defence has looked wobbly when Copenhagen have had the ball in our final 3rd. I'm just relieved that their attacking players look a little clumsy otherwise this would be an extremely uncomfortable evening.

Our attacking play in the final 3rd is just as identical in the previous game against LASK. Far too slow and sloppy.

Need to step it up big time or with the way this game is currently going, I fear a potential smash and grab 1-0 Copenhagen win coming up if we don’t get your finger out.

Their system works really well against us, they almost always have 10 behind the ball very quickly, and even in transition they're leaving 2 deep lying defensive midfielders. Ole needs to come up with something, maybe overloading the flanks by having Fernandes drift out there.

Pogba is being extremely disciplined and pretty good, but I wish we could get him in better positions. He looks far more composed today than Bruno, who has been pretty woeful.

That pass from Fred was a travesty, but otherwise he's been alright. Doesn't forgive it though, what an absolute shambles.

We really need a Carrick or Scholes type alongside Pogba to dictate the play. The midfield is so disjointed every game. The fullbacks don't help either.

We are not reactive enough, hence Copenhagen are winning most of the 50/50s. Hopefully Ole gives them a right bollocking at half time.

We looked a bit complacent that half, as if we were just expecting the goals to arrive. Started well but then seemed to fall asleep. More energy required second half.

Totally off the boil tonight, awful with the ball and looks like when we can't get Bruno into the game, we can't create anything

Meanwhile in Dusseldorf, another Young to Lukaku goal. I’m obviously happy both went but we do need a crossing specialist and a plan B big man upfront.

Not great, just playing in spells.

Up the tempo and we’ll win comfortably but we’re so sluggish playing the ball out from the back and that’s not helping.

I like Bruno, I do. But we have to start a dialogue on how wasteful he is

The difference in quality is not obvious. Probably a case of Copenhagen putting everything into the match; don't forget this is probably one of their biggest games ever.
