Zorya Luhansk, formerly known as Zorya Voroshilovgrad and Zorya-MALS, is a Ukranian professional football club based in Luhansk, playing in the Ukrainian Premier League. The first Luhansk team was created in the Russian Empire in 1908 when the workers of the Russischen Maschinenbaugesellschaft Hartmann created the "Society of wise recreations". In 1923 the workers of the Luhansk steam train factory of the October Revolution (hence – the club's logo with a locomotive) organized their football team "Metalist" which became the forerunner of today's Zorya. In 1936 the football teams "Metalist" and "Dynamo" united into the united Luhansk city team which next year was given the name Dzerzhynets, which won the league in 1938 and was admitted into the Soviet First League. After a delayed revival post World War II, Zorya reformed on 10 April 1964 as the Soviet Football Federation issued its decision about merger of two clubs "Trudovi Rezervy" and OR Factory team (SC Zorya) into FC Zorya Voroshilovhrad. Today, the modern club considers the factory team as its predecessor that was established back in 1923. Zorya play their home games at the Slavutych Arena (previously known as Central Stadium Metalurh).

Think this is something I'd have played perhaps with Carrick behind Fellaini and Schneiderlin and fecking off the shite one or Depay.

Or Rojo for Bailly maybe with TFM going right, dunno. Let Bailly rest or something.

There's no point in disrupting the momentum this side has right now.

I don't see why we can't start the same team for the next 5 games, this one included. Let them gel and improve as a unit.

Can definitely see where you're coming from. Bit of a dilemma with the game Sunday lunchtime but we need to win this to keep building the momentum.

I think we'll see the fringe players again most probably.

You'd bring Rooney right back into it? I think the point is to keep winning and playing decent attacking football.

We'll beat these regardless of who we play and I'd rest as many as possible for Stoke 3 days later

Time to give our wasters another chance - Depay, Schneiderlin, Rooney, Darmian et al. No point playing our first team.

Id go with 4-3-3, try out Blind as dm, think he deserves a first team spot. Still need someone that can dictate the play well in front of the defence. Herrara was excellent today though tbf
    Romero, Fosuh, Smalling, Bailly, Darmian
    Blind Schneid/ Herrara
Mhiki if fit, if not lingard - Rashford
Martial if fit, if not. Ibra.

I think Mou is going to take this game a bit more seriously by playing more first teamers since he lost the first one.

So who are these guys? Are they even decent or just group whipping boys? Anyway, similar team to the EFL Cup team with slight differences. Hopefully Mkhitaryan is fit to get some game time before starting against Stoke. We play Liverpool after the international break.
    Romero
    Mensah Smalling Bailly Darmian
    Schneiderlin Carrick
    Mkhitaryan Rooney Memphis
    Martial

Well they finished 4th in the Ukrainian League last season and they've had 2 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss so far this season. Scored 6 and conceded 6.

It won't be another Feyenoord, who were on a 100% streak.

Judging by Tofu being on the bench today, I expect him to start

I just don't see the point for much rest at this point of the season. We have some catching up to do and a loss at Zorya will put pressure back on us again.

We'll definitely see some changes but IMO they should be minimal. I mean, what is Depay gonna show us at this point?

At home, this would be a great way of getting the likes of Mkhitaryan and Martial into some form.

Would Mourinho feature Shaw, Martial and Mkhitaryan all coming back from injuries?

Regarding the predictions, let's just assume @DanNistelrooy has inside information or that he's a hacker, ok? :p

We should win this, but Zorya aren't that bad. They drew with Fenerbahce in the first round of fixtures and are currently second in the Ukrainian league.

They even won at Dynamo Kyiv last week.

Think I'd try and keep a lot of the same set of players. It's this then Stoke on Sunday and then a break for internationals.

    Romero
    Darmian - Smalling - Bailly - Blind
    Herrera - Carrick - Pogba
    Mkhi - Rashford - Memphis

More of a confidence booster for me. If we can batter them, that will increase our team's confidence and performance in the next game.

Play Rooney in this game and rest Mata. We can allow ourselves to play Rooney in such matches, even he can't feck it up so much.

Their team name sounds more like an eastern European forward prospect who we would talk about excitedly for a few hours and watch his youtube before finding out from someone who actually watches his league that he is bang average.

Waaaay better side than I thought. Winning 2 zip as I write this. This ain't the walk in the park I imagined it to be.

Rooney will be back in so that lowers my hopes, however I don't think he'll throw in all of the second string since we lost to Feyenord and need the 3 points at home.
