I think the game will be called off unfortunately. The latest announcement of further positive tests in their camp is positioning the match to be postponed.
Why “postponed”? If they want to forfeit - fine, no problems. But if they have 14 players they must play otherwise it must be a technical loss

I really hope Lindelof back doesn't mean end of Bailly in the first team. I guess whichever starts today will play against Liverpool

Based on the last game against city, I'm expecting a drab match with two teams cancelling each other out. Very tight, and lots and lots of grind. Hoping for McFred in midfield for this one.

    Are you sure about that?

They had no trouble postponing their PL game the other day. Why couldn't they do the same tonight?

Probably because two teams need to agree on this? I am more than sure that Man Utd doesn’t agree, so a game must be played, otherwise it has to be forfeited by City (which is also fine as we get to the final)

Please no handshakes, no hugs, nothing before, during, or after the game. I don't want our players catching Covid from these idiots.

Lets limit the risk of catching Covid to just on field contact during the game.
With the amount of City players getting infected, I fear they might spread their virus over to us. Jesus, they better be practicing proper social distancing and masks later ... scary stuff .... please please don't spread it over ....
Hopefully they don’t keep us in the tunnel confines and stagger the trips to / from the pitch for each team / staff. This bunch of scummy infectious morons could derail our next few matches if they pass germs on
We should have the disinfectant sponge pads like the ones used during foot and mouth laid out for the dirty feckers.
Made me think of this old throwback

I'm not up to date on the ruling here, you may be right, but I'd have thought United would agree to postpone in the spirit of sportsmanship.

    Or not. Feck City?

Of course not, never. We need to get to the final. Full stop

    My fellow South Africans,

Charge your phones, get your generators and inverters ready, your power banks full...our beloved country will have nation wide loadshedding exactly when our game kicks off.:rolleyes:

A decent 2-0 no fuss scalp will suffice, thank you.
    Oh ffs.

Any chance of this being called off or is it just rumours?
Surely its too late to be called off now. Just an hour until kick off. City must've already arrived at Old Trafford by now.

    City squad arrive
City have shown the following players arriving at Old Trafford - including Kyle Walker and Gabriel Jesus who have recovered from Coronavirus:
Steffen, Harwood-Bellis, Mbete, Dias, Cancelo, Zinchenko, Mendy, Walker, Fernandinho, Rodri, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Sterling, Mahrez, Jesus, Nmecha.
There were also two other youngsters in the squad, and of course the video is not necessarily the full squad that will feature.

    I've gone for this tonight:

    De Gea
    Wan-Bissaka Lindelof Maguire Telles
    McTominay Fred
    Fernandes Pogba
    Greenwood Rashford

Pretty much full strength for this one, then rest a few against Watford.

Same shape as against Villa (the diamond/rectangle, whatever you want to call it)

Have Rashford and Greenwood pressing their centre backs, stopping them playing, then if they get through we can sit back and soak up the pressure. Fred obviously needs to be all over De Bruyne like a rash tonight.

I'm feeling confident about the game, thinking 2-0.
You mean - rest almost the entire team for Watford ?

Lindelof starting over Bailly is just daft to me but oh well, I'd have just had Lindelof play at the weekend.

Ole can't possibly think his best pairing is Lindelof and Maguire still?

Surprised to see Bailly dropped to the bench when he was superb against Villa this past Friday

    10/11. Lindelof is back.

Not surprised by the lineup other than that. Hard working and creative. Happy

Hope this is a rest for Bailly rather than ole dropping him as soon as lindelof is fit again, would be very unfair.

He's just played four games in a row though.

Has he ever managed that for us before?
