Football Club Midtjylland - nicknamed Ulvene (The Wolves) and FCM - are a professional football club based in Herning and Ikast in the Western part of Jutland, Denmark. They were founded Johnny Rune and Steen Hessel - who wanted to unite the football clubs Ikast FS (founded 1935) and Herning Fremad (founded 1918) – clubs that for decades had been strong rivals, but had never played any significant role in Danish football. Ikast FS had some success in the late 70s and 80s, but that was about it. At least 10 years had passed with the two clubs being unable to agree on a merger, but on 6 April 1999, a deal was finalized and announced at a press conference the next day. In 2000 FC Midtjylland were promoted to the Danish Superliga, after a season in which the team had gathered more points than any other team in the history of the 1st division. In the 2014/ 2015 season of the Danish Superliga, FC Midtjylland were able to win their first major trophy as they took home the Danish Championship. During the season FC Midtjylland achieved an impressive 15 straight home ground victories on MCH Arena. The club is also famous for its 'Moneyball' approach when it comes to statistical analysis, and the recruitment of players.

Today should be enough of a confidence boost to go out and beat these guys at home... Would be an embarrassment if we got knocked out.

    De Gea/Romero
    Varela Smalling Blind Riley
    Herrera Schneiderlin
    Lingard Mata Memphis
    Martial
Should be enough to see us through.

I'd like to see Pereira start and Martial swap roles with Memphis, but I doubt LvG will alter anything.

I can see us playing well and dominating and then doing something really stupid to get knocked out.

I can't believe you're playing another game between today and the weekend. Awful scheduling from the FA.

I would say that there are too many teams in the knock out stage of the EL. That is the problem. We just played them last Thursday and here comes the next game.

You guys are winning on Sunday comfortably. We are shite and our players are dropping like flies.

I don't think we will go through but hoping for a good performance. If Midtjylland are off form on the day we may sneak 1-0.

It would be so disappointing if we go out to the worst team left in the competition, especially when LVG acknowledged its our best chance for CL a week ago

That's a late kick off. I don't understand why the last one was 6 and this is after 8

    To your left.
I'm thinking 1-1. They had a lot of chances in the away leg so I don't trust us being able to shut them out.

In the Europa League there are two kick-off times: 6pm and 8.05pm (though there can be even earlier with Lokomotiv Moskva playing at 4pm due to where they are).

There are 15 Europa League matches being played on one night so they split the games over two times so people can watch two matches, and like with the CL they split it to try and have multiple teams from the same country playing at different times.

Lingard injured as well? I know he took a knock to the knee but I hoped it was just a dead leg as he seemed to be running fine afterwards.

Terrific. When it rains, it pours.

Are some scheduled to come back? Januzaj (although not eligible) or others, have they started training?
No idea but I doubt anyone will be fit enough since the rest has been out for a while and there's only 3 days gap between the FA Cup game and the EL game.
