No clue what is stopping Amad to play. Physically he seemed pretty ok, skill is there, then why not try out a specialist winger for a change?

Saw the lineup and thought that this would be a terrible match from us. It has not disappointed.

This is probably the worst first team we can probably send out there: Blunt in attack and shaky in defence.

    Man this team....

We've been absolutely hopeless bar a moment from Rashford. James anonymous on the right, which you just knew would be the case.
It's funny that James cost the same as Haaland.

    James' first half:
Receive the ball on the wing, run to the byline, turn around, run back to where he received the ball. Pass it backwards.

Mason needs to get in asap.

Standard performance, nothing new. How can people say we are getting better with Ole in charge is beyond me. Clueless performance so far as always.

This is on Ole. The team selection made zero sense.
Who do you change then? Injuries and played mid week away, The midfield picks itself, The forward line unfortunately picks itself.

Given the lack of quality, the game is carrying out for a Mata to get his foot on the ball and slow it down.

He's the one trying to do something our centre mids aren't capable of. Knock them, not him.
I get that. Like against West Brom where he looked like our only decent left sided option! Don’t mind him marauding forward...it’s the balls floated out for a throw in that do my tits in.

I dunno if you can blame Maguire for that really
Can’t blame him at all, his job is to win the first header and try to get it as safe as possible. If he’s at full stretch that will be a struggle, it’s his teammates job to win the second ball

Gosh that was poor. How are Newcastle playing better than us, at Old Trafford? Is this how we plan to 'put Citeh under pressure'? Hopefully James doesn't come out for the second half. Some tempo please!

hate to agree with twat jenas but I've been saying all season: we are so bloody predictable; even bruno sometimes when he tries to clip it over the defenders. appalling first half - just what is on that sex tape that martial has of ole? I mean there can't be any other reason for the lumbering oaf to get picked :D:confused:

  . It is his bloody job. In fact only thing in which he is good at it.
So for 80 mil you are happy if defender tries to get the ball? Your standards are really really low my friend.
And fyi; any decent defender will head that ball in corner. It is basic defending stuff.
Can't work out if you're agreeing with me or not. So you accept he did his job? Unlike the rest of the team nowhere to be seen on the first or second ball.d

apart from greenwood theres not much option, Cavani Mct and DVB injured. So how is it on ole.

id swap greenwood for James 2nd half as i dont think there’s the space for James in this game

So let's see if Ole can change this at HT. No doubt the same line up will come out, play the same and the first sub will be on about 75 minutes.

I'm annoyed at how far apart our players seem to be at times, which cuts down our passing angles and options. Nobody wants to move! I'd love to know what gets said in coaching sessions...

I mean at least it's the same problems we have and not a whole bunch of new ones each week, now if we can just work on solving those problems we might actually progress as a team.

Greenwood on please. Then if Martial doesn’t start moving, move Mason centrally and get Amad on

You don't say? A Rashford run from the half way line. Something completely out of the blue. Zero chances created as I said
So does Rashford not play for united or...?

Anyways it’s semantics outside of the goal we have been awful.

"James has got very little out of Jamal Lewis"

To be fair, James would get very little out of a confectionary dispenser even if he had the correct change.
Idiotic comment considering what he did to the fullback against Sociedad

Terrible from Maguire for the goal, schoolboy defending. Having said that we’ve been terrible for entire half, this is a must win game when look at our next two league games.

No it bloody doesn't. Martial and James should be nowhere near this side. Especially Martial.

    Couldn't agree more with this

He doesn’t need to ‘rollock’ anyone. We will always concede goals but the truth is we’re just not good enough collectively. That’s on everyone.

Ole has to take some responsibility for the way we are playing at the moment. We concede the same goals because our fanny of a goalkeeper is rooted to the spot and it’s clear that Martial should be nowhere near the starting line up.

Dan James is one step forward and two steps back every time he gets a run out and our central midfield has been utterly abysmal.
