Interesting reading this week how much they are hated in Germany. Was not aware.

Feel like some are underestimating how tough this will be. They're top of bundesliga and in good form. Huge game, winning will put us on cusp of last 16 already which considering the reaction on day draw was made would be brilliant.

    God I love champions league

I think Shaw might be rested.

Can't see any room for VdB unless Bruno is as well.

    AWB--------McTom/Pogba--------Fred----------------Telles

I think I would rather Shaw played tbh.

    Telles and AWB haven't traveled/trained.

I would prefer VdB than Bruno. We need to give Bruno break. Pogba and Bruno can come first change. We have 5 substitutes. Better use them how situation pans out.

it's great to have a match in the champions league to look forward. Loved the PSG game . Maybe we will be Jekyll and hyde this year with our performances in the CL and PL

I'm hoping to see VdB from the start:

    DeGea
    Lindelof Maguire Shaw
    AWB, Fred, VdB, Telles
    Bruno
    Rashy & Martial

I'm really looking forward to the game as RB won't come for a draw and will be coming to take our heads off and they have the quality to do it.

The middle of the park battle will be interesting, but I think we will see Ole take his first punt at VdB, as he's got to have a start at some point soon right? RIGHT?!

Looking at a 3-2 or 2-1 win for us. Not tidy, not professional - but a battle. I think Fred & McT will be the game changers

We are allowed 5 subs in this game, which allows Ole some tactical freedom. ie: we can go for an insane pressing game, ask players to run themselves into the ground, and then swap out for fresh players on 60 mins.

With better squad depth that RBL, this should play to our advantage. Especially if those fresh players are Pogba and Rashford, who can cause havoc behind a more tired RBI high line defence.

Whenever people think we're off to a comfortable win, the result is disappointing.

I think this is more must-win than PSG. Momentum needs to gather and get going, especially at OT.

Not sure how Williams will do in terms of providing width. But, him aside, I wouldn't actually mind seeing either that team or one similar to it. Bruno and VDB behind and around Rashford could be great to watch.

Seemed from the presser that only Lingard and Bailly were unavailable.

    The match is at home.
Hmm interesting. I can't remember where I read it, probably on here. But Telles wasn't in the last squad and AWB has just had. a baby. Hopefully they're both playing though.

0:53 Beckham's off the ball movement and eagerness to get make himself available

I know its controversial, but he's among top5 greatest United players for me.
Peak Beckham was the best MF in the world. I reckon he'd be in my top 5 as well. Such a great player.

I don't think there's any hard info on either Telles or AWB.

They weren't in the photos/footage of training and people seem to be extrapolating from that.

EDIT: Seems like it's only Telles that hasn't been seen:

If only ... how much would he alone elevate our current team? Seriously, he was so good and some of my standout memories of watching us live involve him.

Would rather rest Bruno against the Turkish club.

We need a win tonight as RB are stronger than the Turkish side.

I really want to see Martial playing with determined energy tonight. I am not expecting him to be Tevez of course, but I would like to see something from him, a fire and fight and single-minded determination to score which has been missing this season.

He has had a week to rest and train so there is no excuse for him to come out like he's on valium, again.

Unfortunate about Telles, was a nice debut and think he would have been useful when trying to counter the high press of Leipzig.

Feeling optimistic about this game but Leipzig aren’t going to be as lethargic as PSG and hand the game to us on a plate so tough game to call in all honesty. Going to need Rashford and Bruno to be incisive on the counter as I predict we won’t be dominating possession.

When I hear "United are on their way to Wembley to play Barca in the European Cup Final" it just takes me back to the blind optimism I had Fergie would ensure it wouldn't happen again. Still hurts.
I knew we would lose despite having the best manager of all-time, and I’m always optimistic about United. That Barca team was the best of all time.
