No he won't want to be a bit part player which is what he'll end up being if he doesn't improve rapidly. His pride won't allow him to. We just have to make a deal with him.
Hopefully it isn’t some “we’ll pay your wages while you bugger off” deal like with Rooney and Nani.

So slow our midfield is very poor and we have no pace wide. Lukakus touch has been terrible again

Hope we get through this today the other lads needed a break too.

    Where the grass is greener.
For a team that should be fresh, the tempo and speed of play has been far too slow. Ole needs to sort it out at half time, doesn’t look like a group of players desperate to get in the first eleven.

You can so clearly see why none of these front 6 players are first choice, and none of them have any prospect of ever being first choice either.

McTominay and Pereira aren't going to be good enough for this club. Fred looks like a £10m signing not £50m. Lukaku is a colossal downgrade on Rashford in every department. Sanchez plays like a player on £40k a week not £400k.
Can’t agree with this more. It saved me having to type it myself!

Really poor disjointed performance. Sitting here wanting Sanchez Fred and pereira to impose themselves and they are well short.

%68 possession for reading tells it all

We need to put this game to bed. Ole looks suitably unimpressed. I reckon he'll have something savage to say at halftime.

Name me a worse midfield in existence than Fred-pereira-Mctominay?

It doesn’t exist. Sunday league level quality among them 3.

Yeah it's looking more and more like Andreas is rushing it and wasting possession, not good! You're right.
Hes had some good moments and some crap ones like most of thr midfield and attack today. Sloppy game by us so far.

Yiadom races into the box and gets a cross in which we only half clear. The ball then comes back to Yiadom in the box and he hits a fierce strike at goal which Romero has to punch wide for a corner.

He did say that he’s going to give every player in the squad a chance. I think that’s reasonable. It’s then up to some of these players to take the opportunity.

I thought some of them would have extra fire in them to deliver, especially because they have something to prove. Based on the performance, I think some of this lot will be offloaded within two windows of Ole stayed.

I’m disappointed with a lot of these guys today, as they haven’t taken their chance.

Darmian is having a good game at CB. Tbf he’s always been a good defender, just aids going forward so it makes sense.

I don't think anybody expected a brilliant performance with this lineup.

But this has been fecking woeful. As bad as anything under Mourinho

Predictably crap huff and puff game with so many b teamers playing. Reading totally dominating possession and look the better team whilst we try and play on the break, im totally unconvinced by Fred. Pierra and mctominay not good enough but at least we didnt waste £30mil on the later two.

Needs to make changes in midfield or real danger Reading will get back into it.

Edit 2-0 ill get my coat

Well we haven't played great but we lead 2:0. A lovely through ball by Sanchez finds Lukaku's run into the box. He rounds Jaakkola and slots the ball into the empty net. Well taken but not entirely deserved it has to be said!

Midfield can't create, which would have been okay if they could shield..

Darmian has been our best player so far, Fred decent.
Lukaku really needs to step up and so does Sanchez.

    Edit: Sanchez assists Lukaku
