Di Maria/RvP need to be dropped after their horror show. Is this too much to ask for ?

Please, its not too much to ask for to dump the shite diamond he seems insistent on playing. And Wilson to be subbed on, not falcao or rvp.

Would like us to try 1 striker up front for once.

    Yet another 'must win' game.
After this loss, we have quite a few must wins, notably the away games against Newcastle and palace and all our home games as we most likely will lose away to Chelsea and Liverpool.

Just get the fecking 3 points. That's all I care about right now.

And if I see RVP start yet another game I will be livid.

We'll win easily. Cracks will be papered over. Then we'll drop more points away at Newcastle.

SUBS: Valdes, Jones, Valencia, Fellaini, Januzaj, Falcao, van Persie/Wilson.

Surely this is the time that LVG drops van Persie. He left the Liberty on crutches and a protective boot on as well so might miss out through injury anyway.

First game at Old Trafford for me. Hoping for a good response after today's result. Drop RVP move Rooney up top.

I gave Rojo MOTM today. I know everyone loves Ander, including me, but he was lost in the second half. He really needs a good CM general to play off. Rojo kept running and fighting to the end - he deserves a bit of appreciation.

I think Rojo and Herrera are the only two who gave their all. Yes Herrera could do with better players round him. He is a class player as is Rojo. If he drops Herrera for this game I will personally come down there and beat him round the head.

Yep, my grandad gave it to me off his mate on a Manchester Liner in the 1960s. All wood and weighted...
Good. Someone saying in the Herrera thread that he seems to disappear in the last 30 minutes, so that would be justification in dropping him for the next game. So we might be needing it.

Poyet is tactically astute. They'll frustrate us no end these guys. An early goal is a must otherwise I can just see the nightmare already. Yes there is an optimum formation/team selection but its not going to make the difference you want.

Drop one of our best players, the only one with real pace and who makes more chances then anyone? Yeah... Also, a bit overboard with horror show don't you think? Created 5 chances and grabbed an assist, not bad at all really.

I think he has Rafael locked in the same room he had Herrera locked in.

Go with two wingers and drop van Persie + Falcao.

My only problem is the lack of height I think we'll be a bit more vulnerable to set pieces.

If we do go with the diamond start Rooney + Wilson.

    Key points:
    1) Play two actual fullbacks.
    2) Play 1 up top.
    3) Play players in their correct positions.
    4) Play with two wingers to give width.
    5) Play for the result not possession.

    De Gea
    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Herrera Carrick
    Di Maria Mata Young
    Rooney
And if we want more physical players in the middle of the park:
    De Gea
    Rafael Smalling Rojo Shaw
    Fellani Carrick
    Di Maria Rooney Young
    Wilson
Do not want any of this hoof ball to Fellani in the last 20 mins. Fair enough in stoppage time, but just play fast attacking football, using width to stretch the opposition defence.

Should win this game at home no questions asked, but my worry is that LVG will play Falcao, RVP (If fit), Rooney back in CM, win this game easily, then he will play the same again against Newcastle which we will then drop more points.

I like you're first team, the second team I think we are in trouble.

I would love to see this but even in my wildest dreams I wouldn't expect Rafael and Smalling over Valencia and Jones.

Yeah, I don't have a big problem with valencia or anything it's just rafael as a right back is so much better, his only problem is injuries and I think Van gaal has given up on him for that reason.

What surprises me is how LvG has handled Rafael, he's spoken several times of the importance of the human aspect, yet he's seemingly just frozen Rafael out altogether, unlike our other crocks who usually still make the bench.
