This is my only hope too really. They are renowned bottle jobs and have zero winning experience. United still have a better silverware reckon than Arsenal and Spurs combined since Fergie left, and even this bunch have proven they’ve got that winning mentality in big games what with the last ditch turnarounds.

As has been mentioned a lot though, there’s a reason Spurs have beaten us 3 times this season. We can’t cope with them physically, so we need to take a different route.

I wanna see lots of technical players on the pitch, we’ve not got physicality in midfield anymore since McT left, Hojlund is basically a quavers packet, and De Ligt is injured. So let’s just play them off the park with Yoro, Bruno, Mount, Diallo etc
I agree. We seen how much technical players can impact the game when we brought on Mount and Amad against Bilbao. They were running rings around them with sharp passing. I’m unsure which way Amorim is going to line up though. Will he start all our best players and hope we get it to a good start and go a couple of goals up or will he leave some of the best on the bench and hope we’re still in the game and then bring them on to blitz them in the last 20 mins.

If we can totally go against recent form and beat at the time the champions of england Man City in the fa cup final, I don't really know why we can't do the same against Spurs.

The biggest game raising cnuts on the day win the final. Thats about it. And I hope Onana has been making consecutive blunders on training so by the time the final is here all the bad luck is no longer with us

If you concede, lets say 14 stupid goals in a row during training surely you cant concede any more stupid goals

Onana chucking one is genuinely my biggest fear about the final. Don't trust him.

The side we are in Europe isn't anything like that Spurs have faced already this season.

We tend to be good in one off games. We are definitely one of those game raising bastard teams now and spurs are famously bottlers. We’ve done City, Arsenal and Liverpool in recent years when we have really needed to.

So you think it's an easier game than if it was Everton?
Depends which way you look at it. We struggle more against the Everton’s as there a bit more defensive and we’re expected to control the game. Although Spurs have beat us 3 times, I think we deserved something from at least 2 of them.

Yeah, Bilbao fan recommended that area too (think it’s called Casco Viejo) but I noticed that there was a large plaza in the middle and immediately thought United would try and infiltrate it

It's on the other side of town to the stadium but it's a small city center so not that far actually.

With so much in stake i don't know how i will watch this. Most important game in last decade probably.

Easily. It's worth about 100m maybe but worth more in other areas too.

I think Ange is going to be fired anyway so it doesn't matter to him if he wins. There's much better managers available whom Spurs could attract.

I think he’ll get at least the start of next season if they beat us in the final. They’ve had a lot of injuries which have clearly affected them.

I think he's gone.
Lots of good managers knocking about.

I get they've a shortlist of Iraola, Frank etc... and will be approaching people in.the summer.

One game isn't enough to save someone's job.

Amorim will get until November/December and then I think he'll be fired.

It doesn't matter how likable he is.

Amorim won’t be sacked because once he signs some decent players in the summer his system might actually start to work. We’re lacking clinical players upfront for him.

Does anyone know where the United fans congregated for the away leg of the semi-final??

Mainly so I can avoid it and enjoy some Pintxos and good beer and wine?
We were in a tapas bar drinking local pints for €2.75, it was down a side street in the centre . We didn’t come across United supporters until the stadium. The €2.75 pints was the dealbreaker.

We'll have to see I guess but I've seen nothing to suggest he's a good manager.

He'd have made an impact by now.

Look at Wolves, Everton, Valencia etc...new manager comes in and improves the team.

The PL is so competitive now with very strong teams in mid table. I think we'll struggle again next season.

Christ can we at least keep the manager moaning to one thread instead of infecting this one with bullshit too?

The FAC Final saved ETH when they should have axed him the following week.

Spurs resting most of their likely starters looks like, just Kulusevski, Porro and Bentancur starting

And this is exactly why we'll struggle against spurs. We're just shit against PL sides.

You have got to worry given our abysmal record in the premier league.

Only saving grace that we have is Spurs are just as shit. But any team that is remotely physical and it’s men against boys, so I can’t say I’m confident.

Wonder how bad it is? Son is due to be back though so I guess it won’t be a big deal.
Son has fallen off in a big way this season and isn't what he was. He's pretty much just a wide poacher now.

I think they really have just thrown in the League and are simply protecting themselves now. Think we'll see genuine effort in the Final

He is their best attacking player by a distance these days, it’s a massive boost if he is out.

Our best defender of the past few months is probably out and we’re probably relying now on ‘the old guard’ of Maguire, Lindelof and Shaw as the three centre backs. Praying that De Ligt and Dalot return.
