I think the first Europa League final under Mou was the biggest, it was supposed to be our springboard to where we belong after 4 years in the wilderness. This one feels different but important no less, only for other reasons. Back in 2017 we did not really belong in the Europa, we were still considered a proper CL team going through a bad patch. Nowadays we are a genuine Europa team, and winning this trophy would be our biggest achievement.
This feels a lot bigger than 2017 to me

Took the rest of the week off just for this game. I'm so fecking nervous right now. Feels like ages since. Come on!

I can’t believe our season, and next season depend on a European cup final against spurs. Unprecedented really.

Shitting it.

I'm a bag of nerves and have been all day and I can't think of another game like this in my lifetime. There have obviously been bigger games but I imagine this must be what it's like for fans of clubs that have been involved in championship play-off finals? It really is all or nothing.

yeah i agree. At least our league position was fine, we still had a manager that had a good name a that point.
Now we are damn near relegation, with a completely unproven manager in the premier league. Had we lost that youd still bet Jose could draw in some decent names. Lose this and we dont really have much in the way of incentives for a player next season.

If it helps anyone, you can watch tonight's game and Chelsea v Betis final next week for free on discovery+ app. Just sign up, no credit card details required.

Can't help feeling we are more driven by the financial benefit than actually winning the trophy but totally wrong

If you register on Discovery+, it's saying you can watch the final for free?

Posting here for all my streamers

Took a break from watching football and being emotionally invested in it to concentrate on other stuff. I’m not felt this nervous since those days!

They haven’t given me to much to be happy about during the season. Not nervous at all today. This is Europe and we raise our game in this compatition this year. We are winning.

Are Everton fans this salty about that overpriced defender transfer not going through

or is this is Wazza thing?
Who are those 10% of City/4% of Liverpool fans wanting us to beat spurs

Europa League & Champions League final appearances combined since the season 2004/2005:

Sevilla: 7
Real: 6
Liverpool: 6
Man United: 5
Atlético: 5
Barcelona: 4
Inter: 4
Bayern: 4
Chelsea: 4

Not bad considering. A fifth European final in 20 years.

There was an article in The Athletic yesterday about how impressed the board are with Amorim, there's lots he's doing behind the scenes as well. Whether he wins tonight or not, his job isn't at risk at all.

Apart from the financial benefits, this would be a huge boost for amorim obviously and would add some much needed belief back into the squad of what they can achieve imho.

It really says all about where we are as a club, that one game alone is this important. Back in the days we would probably have a FA Cup-run, and a top finish in the league to fall back on when assessing the season.

Only remotely positive outcome of losing today is, that we will have to play fewer games next season which should help with injuries and implementing Amorims tactics

Me too, 2017 still felt like it was a bit beneath us and was a match we were expected to win.

This as got me all kinds of nervous and pumped for it.

Picked my kid up from the gym earlier with Ruben’s song blasting in the car, his smile and then his show of nerves about the game when he got in the car is what it’s all about

Saw a youtube comment calling today's final as a stoppable force vs a movable object and chuckled at that

Its Spurs, I am indefatigably confident that this will be an easy night.

Dammit my tennis match got postponed to 7. Missing the first half our now.

Not in the least bit confident, I hope we show up and get the job done.
I’m all the BS posted by pundits and fans is fecking annoying a win will fecking shut them up.
I want to shut Agbonlahor most of all .

Old a trafford doesn’t have a video board
It can be done temporarily but no need, dozen thousands of fans will be rocking and celebrating United triumph all around Manchester pubs. I wanted to bet on Postecoglu refusing the post-match interview but my local bookies never gave me any odds on that.
