Doom-monger obsessed with Herrera & the M.E.N.
I barely recognised him with the hair.By the way, that west ham goalie was a fecking disaster and a half.

Yeah it is without shoe horning one of them as a 9.The elephant in the room is that we would be much better off playing all three of Cunha, Mbuemo, and Bruno, behind a central striker.
But then I guess, maybe 3-4-3 or Amorim's variation of it is the only way to also then get Amad into the side, with Bruno then being one of the midfield two. That will be the only real way to get all of Cunha, Mbuemo, Bruno, and Amad into the same starting 11.
What , and have another year of the black hole of Denmark? If we can't buy, then loan someone, for heaven's sake.I think if you look at the profile of Delap that’s what we’ll aim to buy.
Happily leave the CF spot though until next season and spend funds on CM and GK

Ugarte, Mainoo, but also Dorgu and Hojlund impressed me. Maybe Hojlund can build on that first season, he already looked to build up more muscles. Sure his hold up play is missing form his skillset unfortunatelly, but it can improve with muscles and instructions, proper preseason and better player around him like CUnha and Mbeumo. We were good in the first half, Pressed as well as I've seen us, looked threatening, Cunhas ability to drive with the ball is going to be huge. Adding Mbeumo to this is exciting.
Thought Ugarte and Mainoo looked solid as well. Think we'll surprise everyone this year.

Made himself look a bit of a tit with Bruno 2nd goal.By the way, that west ham goalie was a fecking disaster and a half.
This is the best summary of the current issue and we cant ignore this, I really hope Ruben gets this asap and fix it.I’ll rewatch the game today because we had a few shocking moments and I’d like to see the build up play that led to them, and I’ll note the times.
For instance, the midfield 2 - as noted by everyone - needs positional discipline. At least twice they both were too far forward and with one pass they were taken out. This led to 2 Hammers facing up to a back 5 who were in a straight line. The second time was similar but there were 3 attackers but again we had 5 defenders in a straight line. When it was against 2, I can’t see why one of the 5 didn’t at least step up and challenge. That would still have left 4 players to cover. I don’t know what our wingbacks were doing to be set so far back.
We had a huge open space almost like Ten Hag’s beloved donut formation. This is a tactical problem I hope we are working on fixing because West Ham were terrible and we were lucky to win.
It’s a step in the right direction for sure.A lot of negativity. We won, but it's only a pre season friendly. But if we had lost, the same people would be moaning.
There will probably be plenty of games to have a moan about the players, Amorim, and his system. But we were the better team against West Ham and we won.
There's forward runs and then being ahead of the LWB and most of the rest of the teamThe LCB is supposed to make forward runs in this system, it's just that Shaw physically can't do it anymore and shouldn't be playing.

RONNIE PICKERINGYou need to stop with this positive outlook.
Who the hell do you think you are
God help usI am hoping that Hojlund scores some pre-season goals and gains confidence. With no incoming striker, he is it. Obi still looks really raw.
