There'll likely be a double length video analysis session following this match. A huge positive to have the opportunity for Rangnick to give them all a game to take stock.

Sloppy in the last 10 mins.

Otherwise fairly good for the half.

Ole boys are back. I can understand the lack of intensity or cohesiveness but feck, first touch and mispasses aren't something that you lose if you are not playing.

No control of the game whatsoever, and we're meant to have technicians in our team.
You expect control with our second string who barely play and kids? Even our first team wasn’t up to it in Young boys.

And you can’t tell we are suppose to be up by like 3? You probably not watching the game anyways.

Just seen the goal, bad pass by Donny. But what the hell was AWB doing there, not moving at all, could've easily gotten the ball, but instead he was just standing there not expecting anything
He was probably expecting a £40m midfielder to be able to make a simple pass.

We should have scored 3 here, but for Mata and Diallo.
Diallo has been wasteful in the final third but he will come good I think as he looks as an intelligent player.

VDB was pretty decent aside from the mistake.
Yeah, he was the brightest spark after Mason I think. Henderson also doing his chances great favour by showing what he brings that Dave doesn't have.

It's gone a bit awray now, ffs control of the game then sloppy passing. But that's going to happen with all the changes, bar there goal we've been pretty good should be a few up. That goal just gives them a lift now. Patience on the ball they got to go get one so just pick them off.
    Nothing silly.

There’s a lot of poor individual performances out there. I think in a lot of cases it’s players trying too hard to impress and show the manager that they can play “vertically” but not having the accuracy in doing that.

Matic and Mata off the pace. AWB and quite a few others just sloppy.

We squandered some good forward runs. I would say replace AWB, Lingard and Mata, but that bench is scary.

Could have been 2-0 ahead at half time but wasteful and counting the cost of yet another individual error and only for Bailly it would have been two goals for Young Boys from errors.

Highlight of the half Greenwood's goal and good all round performance.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Amad looks out of his depth. AwB isnt displacing Dalot anytime soon. The team balance just isnt there with this 11 but its a nothing game so whatever.

Jesus our team is made up of players who haven’t kicked a ball in the last month and kids...we have been fuking awesome all things considered...I have seen full strength Utd sides struggle to dominate this type of team under Ole/Mourinho. Goes to show how far basic tactics go.

I imagine Rangnick will be unhappy with that first half. We have not pressed anywhere near as high as we did in the Palace game. As a result the game is being played closer and closer to our goal. There's been a lot of sloppiness. Shame because after taking the lead with a wonder goal we should have been able to control the game.

Shoretire for Elanga/Lingard please, and Savage/Iqbal for Mata.

Donny does have these errors in him, was playing well. Greenwood, Matic, Bailly been the best.

Try to offload Lingard in January.

that typ of football is nothing for mata. awb also wont make it back into the first 11. that mistake from vdb was criminal. but other than that many positives: greenwood top and 100% in the 11 next time. should have been 2 or 3 up easily

Amad probably needs a loan, which he was going to get until he got injured. He has something about him, but needs toughening up a bit.

All a bit chaotic thanks to plenty of heavy touches and misplaced passes but at least you can see a method to the madness. Hopefully we don't fade too much in the second half.

AWB was 19 when we bought him.

He has not progressed since then. Still the same, great tackler, but a bit lost on the ball.

As easy as it is to criticise hom for it, the club has to take the blame, we pay millions to backroom staff to help players progress. Its the thing we are suppoosed to be good at.

VDB will take that blame but that goal is on Matic. That’s the definition of a hospital pass. Just give it wide or play it long, VDB has a man on his back.

Mason was fantastic, Donny was good for 40 mins and then looked a bit lethargic/sloppy, same with Matic. I'd like to see Lingard get more in the game in the 2nd half too.
