Agreed, but the fact that she hasn't signed a contract extension yet is still a bit worrisome.

This would be what I was expecting. Hopefully just 1 of our best players leaving with a few good prospects for the future coming in.
Just pathetic. They have been playing with fire and this season we are going to finish midtable I am sure. 6th or 7th is my prediction
Yeah based on the transfer window so far, I’d say fifth is the best we can hope for.

For me it isn't just the window. We ended the season in a terrible way and we needed changes to refresh things a bit. Instead we have done nothing. At this point the top 3 are definitely better than us while LCL & Spurs could also finish above us this season imo.
No I get it, for me it’s the way we’ve continued after a challenging season. Attack the window and sign some good players early on and strengthen the squad… but no.

I'm frustrated too. We need a bit of excitement going into the next season, something that suggests maybe we can upset the top 4. It doesnt mean we need to sign a £1 million player but... Come on. Chelsea and Arsenal are doing their business and City have just won the league. Where is our ambition? I was fully expecting us to lose someone, probably one of our foreign good players - and it hasnt happened yet. But can we at least sign a good player for the future? Or pick up a smart transfer on a free? Something?
Well this sucks. At this rate, it looks like we're pinning our hopes on the youngsters coming good, after ignoring our youth set up for the past 8 years. I can say "well at least we'll put the million euros back into the team and end up with an overall stronger squad" but I'm not sure I even believe that right now, especially with the owners we have.

Have to assume that there's things getting done in the background, else this is quite depressing as feck.
We do what we always do, sign a few players close to the deadline day. Probably to save some money on wages.

Not sure if Naalsund is staying but we could have some kind of a policy regarding having partners in the squad. But definitely game time too.

I, for one, am not worried -- at least not yet. Players leave teams for all kinds of reasons that aren't the fault of the club. Turner wants to go somewhere that she'll get more playing time, and Naalsund (predictably) wants to join her. That all makes good sense, especially for players who are probably past their prime. We will miss Turner's big personality, but it won't be a huge loss on the field since neither she nor Naalsund was likely to be a regular starter for us.
Malard says she's "ready for a new challenge" (which I interpret to mean "win the Champions League") but she also seems keen on reuniting with her former coach at Lyon, with whom she reportedly has remained friends. At least our club learned a lesson from the Russo disaster and got a hefty transfer fee out of this, rather than having her leave at the end of next season for free. On the field, we have too many strikers (which I think is Malard's best position) since bringing in Schuller and Wangerheim, so losing Malard isn't as big a loss as it otherwise would be. It does make it more important that we hold onto Terland, though.

So far, yes, but of course a lot can happen -- both good and bad -- over the next six weeks.
Apart from Malard, I think the others are generally squad players who are leaving. Still, it feels off to lose all these players without replacing them with someone. A few injuries and we'll be relying on the academy or playing players out of position.
I still preferred Turner over Janssen at CB so I certainly wouldnt have sold her. Can only imagine we're signing a CB
Andrea Medina can play that left CB position, and IMO it's also Gabby George's best position. Still, signing another CB would be good -- although I think midfield depth should be the first priority.
