Jordan Henderson.

Henderson was a much, much better and more expansive passer than Ugarte has shown for us so far, particularly with his long passes. For most of Klopp's reign Henderson was the main ball-player in their midfield.

Agree with that. While he was certainly dominated by Modric a few times and probably wasn’t elite he was a very good passer of the ball for the most part.

And also very quick with superb fitness, Ugarte is going to have to come back with much better fitness this season as last year he consistently was dropping off heavily after 55-60 mins and struggled to maintain intensity in back to back to matches. Which is a problem as without that intensity he is very average.

Agree with this. Henderson was quite fast over distance and defensively covered extremely well for TAA. He wasn’t spectacular on the ball and somewhat limited in his passing, but his passing was still superior to that of Ugarte. Ugarte is more nimble and better in tight spaces though; he’s also surprisingly quick, but his stamina appears an issue.

Probably because you’d have to be thick as pigshit to use that label on any player who’s only had one season at the club - his first in the premier league - and racked up a few objectively decent performances over that period. This place has its fair share of dense feckers who post on the regular but thankfully there’s still only a very small minority who are that thick.
