I guess it's a good thing that Milner is brainless, otherwise that could've resulted in some brain damage.
For the same reason, Salah struggled for Chelsea 3 years ago, I think we'll see more of Rashford next season especially with new width support which we should aim to add new proper fullback like Sandro, he improved every season since he breaks into LVG's team. Having Lukaku as a target man is helping Rashford as they drew out a defender from their position which Rashford will exploit huge space.Defenders are terrified of him. I hate to say it, but he should model himself on Salah. There's no reason he can't get the same kind of results when he matures.
I'm dying for this to happen. I hope Rashford can be United's number ten for years and years. He has all the potential to have a similar impact to Thomas Muller at Bayern.Yeah, he's getting no.10 I reckon.
He was so cool and collected for his age during that. The kid's got poise. That first goal was incredible. That chop and then that finish.... felt a lot of déjà vu right there.
Let's not jinx it, please. That first goal was incredible. That chop and then that finish.... felt a lot of déjà vu right there.
Ronaldo A- for taking another touch before shooting.Ehem.
That crossed my mind too, I'm afraid, .That first goal was incredible. That chop and then that finish.... felt a lot of déjà vu right there.
Hmm I don't think his dribbling and decision making in tight spaces are close either, in 2005 (when Ronaldo was 20) Ronaldo was pretty good at both and a year away from his break through season in 2006. Rashford whilst very good yesterday has been pretty hit and miss on the wing this season. If he could only add that airal threat of Ronaldo a sky would be a limit for him. Absolutely love him and hope he reaches his full potential. You could tell how much it meant for him being a local lad, he just gets it. Rashford is a red...
He’s hit the bar and post with some absolute stonking shots this season too. He gets incredible power on them. His shooting technique has improved massively. It's got real swerve and dip just like Ronaldo. I remember when we first saw him it was a bit hit and miss. Everything is improving slowly. He's gonna be some player in 3/4 years from now.
I just cant wait for him to develop physically and get stronger. He is still sometimes a bit gangly and bambi ish.... some more strength and power I think will add to to his precision and consistency. Then we will have a serious player. His shooting technique has improved massively. It's got real swerve and dip just like Ronaldo. I remember when we first saw him it was a bit hit and miss. just dont add too much, so it doesnt affect his agility, he's of good size for winger, just need to learn how to use his strength better. Nani for instance was never the strongest but could use his body strength really wellI just cant wait for him to develop physically and get stronger. He is still sometimes a bit gangly and bambi ish.... some more strength and power I think will add to to his precision and consistency. Then we will have a serious player.
Nani was a incredible physically. I would of said he was probably one of the best in that regards in our squad when he was around.just dont add too much, so it doesnt affect his agility, he's of good size for winger, just need to learn how to use his strength better. Nani for instance was never the strongest but could use his body strength really well
I dont mean bulking up, just growing up. However if he wants to follow Cristiano's physical regimen which helped take him from a skillful teenager to a physical beast that is also fine by me.just dont add too much, so it doesnt affect his agility, he's of good size for winger, just need to learn how to use his strength better. Nani for instance was never the strongest but could use his body strength really well
I disagree, I think it makes Rashford's look better and more powerful, he lifts the entire fecking netJust like Ronaldo's goal but he's let down by the goal nets. Ronaldo hit a soft net that embraces the ball.
Our current goal net lifts up at the bottom when hit with any kind of power, heinous to see.
Nani was a fecking beast!Nani was a incredible physically. I would of said he was probably one of the best in that regards in our squad when he was around.
That's just not true, he was very obviously out of form, he was misplacing simple passes, over-complicating things, shooting when there were better options and broke down a number of good attacks. He had an amazing game but let's not rewrite history, he's been poor since he lost his place in the team, Palace and yesterday were the first signs he might be regaining some form which is good for our end of season run-in.What I like about Rashford is his attitude. I didn’t agree with people’s assessment of his performances when he stopped scoring. He was never particularly out of form. He was still doing the right things and having an impact on games. He cracked the woodward several times too. He doesn’t disappear like Martial has a habit of doing. If Martial had his attitude, he’d be such a better player.
Always worth reminding yourself of his age too. Kane is still thought of as a young centre forward but at Rashford’s current age he was still several months away from his first Spurs league start and goal.
At the same time he's been very unlucky, I remember he went on a run where he kept hitting the post, I think he's hit it at least 5 times this season, also had a couple shots cleared off the line. If he was 5% luckier it probably would have changed a lot of perspectives during his dry spell. I think one thing that can't be faulted is his movement. Yes, I think he's been a little sulky when he doesn't get the right pass but he's always making the right runs. That's just not true, he was very obviously out of form, he was misplacing simple passes, over-complicating things, shooting when there were better options and broke down a number of good attacks. Exactly i've been saying it as well after than Leicester game or around that time.At the same time he's been very unlucky
we will never lose him. We need home grown players and he is one of the better ones in the league. At worst he can be our Danny MurphyI think the guy has a real talent and his development should be one the to priorities for the club. It will be criminal to lose such a talent.
I’m not rewriting history. I held and stated that opinion at the time. That's just not true, he was very obviously out of form, he was misplacing simple passes, over-complicating things, shooting when there were better options and broke down a number of good attacks. Rashford is a much bigger talent imo. Only thing similar is their pace and workrate.
31 goals on 2 seasons and half, most of them were on the left wing. Can't imagine some were comparing him to Welbeck who only scored 29 goals in all his tenure here.
We did lose Pogba for example. And with us signing Sanchez, i don't know. I can see how we could lose Rash, of course i hope i won't happen.we will never lose him.
Rashford and Lingard can't stick around a moment longer, guys...Marcus Rashford's lack of starts for Manchester United this season should not affect his chances of playing for England at the World Cup, says manager Jose Mourinho. But it will. The 20-year-old started his first Premier League game against Liverpool since Boxing Day. But Mourinho said Rashford is a key player at United and always "starts or is on the bench". As if any of that rhetoric will have any bearing on the harsh reality facing Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard for that matter.
Mourinho has their careers in the palm of his hand and he is slowly squeezing the life out of both these boys. We know Mourinho has 'previous' when it comes to this kind of activity. He totally dismissed the potential of Kevin de Bruyne, Mo Salah and even Romelu Lukaku while manager of Chelsea.
Rashford has won 15 international caps and scored on his debut in May 2016. Despite his lack of recent starts Rashford has still managed to score 12 goals in 39 games for United this season in all competitions, including substitute appearances. If Mourinho continues to insist on Rashford and Lingard remaining on the bench then they should leave United. It may break their hearts but they cannot afford to stick around a moment longer.
