Regardless of whether he's up top or out wide we've got to find room for him in the starting 11. He's had a great start to pre season.

Well it's not gonna be up top cause we just spunked £75m on Lukaku to play there. And I've not seen Mourinho willing to switch to a 2-striker system so far either.

When it comes to which side he should play, I kinda like him on the right more than I do on the left. Which I think works better with Mkhi driving from the middle or having the freedom to drift about and poke holes.

Also if we get Perisic or another expensive LW, then RW will be his best option for getting minutes.

I don't see why can't he play on the right next season like how Eto'o played under Mourinho. Both players have the great movement, pace and workrate. And another coincidence is that Valencia as a right back has a similar playing style as Maicon was.

Fully agree. Against teams with high pressing he can be a very good option on right side with a long ball to lukaku and him winning the knock downs Rashford pace can be utilised to full effect with his improved finishing I think we are in for a treat. I fully believe we will be challenging for the title if not winning having a winger signed this window, who can deliver crosses and play on both wings.

Christ he's 21 in a few months. I thought he was 19.

Time to get some younger blood in IMO, like Angel Gomes. pls bite. I did genuinely think he was 19 though.

Going to be immense isn't he. Looks on fire and seems to have bulked up quite a bit as well.

I'm really enjoying all the transfer spotlight finding a new attacker, as it seems to be keeping the heat off Rashford. As though he is seen as a back up option that is fully ready yet.
I'm a massive Rashford fan, think he is ready and expect him to feature heavily next season, and get plenty of goals. By the time Zlatan comes back in Jan, wouldn't be surprised if he is an automatic starter.
Feel like he's got Mbappe potential but so far not the recognition (outside of Man Utd fans of course).

Feck he's good, love him even more that he's a youth product. He's just so direct, I love it

Me too but I'm glad he doesn't have that hype. was it Marca that had him on Zidane's striker wishlist if Mbappé stays at Monaco?

Didn't cut it well as a lone striker first half. He's definitely not a targetman as Lukaku and needs us to change the style of play to suits his abilities in running behind defenders rather than becoming a target for long balls.

Consistency is the one thing that's holding Rashford back, and I think a lot of that is down to his mentality. The games where he's out to prove himself he's the Rashford we foresee as being the next big thing, but when he's a bit too comfortable in our starting XI he takes his foot off a bit and it reflects in his performance. Love's a good sulk as well

He's been our best player in the second half so far(30 minutes in). Breath of fresh air!

He looks much stronger now, compared to last year. Mourinho has forced him to lift more weights?

What a difference it makes to have a player who only has one thought in his mind and that's to take players on.

He's been getting bigger and bigger since debuting I believe. I think it's his own determination more than anything. What a talent he is.

If he starts showing more responsibility when we are defending, we might not need to play Lingard ever again!

Sometimes frustrating but offers a lot more than most on the wing. Should be starting.

He's just poor when he has time to finish. He's a better instinct finisher.

And people think he's nowhere near Mbabpe?

If he was foreign the Caf would rave about him. What a talent. Destroyed Carvajal. Just needs to take his chances.

Obviously should have scored but Navas did really well to save his shot, was destined for the bottom corner.

Poor tonight. Should've scored that, and I thought his finishing would've improved from last season. Same happened at a Chelsea last year. However, he's only 19 so still got time. He'll play a big part in our season.

He was never gonna score on that side. Should have shown the eyes and gone the other side.
