Well taken goal. I wasn't sure he'd score so I'm relieved.

Poor poor half but great finish. Martial can't be moved right to play Rashford there.

Dont really know what to say. Dont think he will be a great player. A good one, yes but other than pace, he doesnt have anything else.

What concerns me with Rashford is his lack of desire and is very lethergic with his effort. Like it was a Manchester derby and he showed no fight or desire. It's not the first time either with him...

Apart from the goal he was a bit rubbish really. Lost possession cheaply too often.

Hoof ball isn't beneficial to him or Martial. Not to mention the focal point of the team - Lukaku - had a horrendous game. Stick Sané, Sterling or Jesus in for them and they'd struggle, too.

Hear this a lot. Stick Pogba in this team and we're automatically transformed. Stick Sane, Jesus, Sanchez, Mane and I'm sure we'd be better and not worse.

Between him and Lingard for our best outfield players today. They played with the passion of the fans. The rest looked like they couldn’t wait to give City the league and slip off back to the under-floor heated TV rooms of their Cheshire mansions.

Solid performance.

Not clever enough to play anywhere else except centre forward playing on shoulder of last defender!

Play him with Martial upfront and have Lingard/Mata sitting behind them, pace and skill enough of this Lukaku experiment for now.

He was shite aside from the goal. Second only to Lukaku for poorest performance on the pitch.

People have him as our 2nd best player in the rating thing. Incredible.... poor today but not all his fault as he and Martial basically got no service and spent more time defending.

Love his mentality but he's still very raw and inconsistent. He shouldn't be a starter yet, but such is the sorry state of our attack we have little choice but to start him.

I think he is rightfully a bit down, same could be said for Martial due to not being trusted to play in forward positions but rather being shafted to wing and not even as wide forwards, we saw a clear improvement from Martial when he was moved more centrally. Lukaku should have some rest give these two guys a chance to form a partnership with someone intelligent behind them.

Being shifted around to accommodate Lukaku IMO. He's best in a front 2, and I think would partner Martial brilliantly. Inconsistent throughout the game but had good moments, but really we should persist with a setup that gets the best out of both him and Martial as that's our long term future.

I have given Rashford a hard time recently but today he played well.

Like a lot of players Jose just doesn't use him correctly.

We should've played him up top with Lukaku today, we may have had more joy.

Dont think he should have taken the free kick.

Lovely finish for the goal though. In fact, he often seems to score on that side of the penalty box, but misses when hes on the left side.

He's an awful attitude tbh. Its as if its gone to his head. His effort is 50 percent of what it used to be. Very lackadaisical. Good finish though

Beside the goal, overall underwhelming performance. Has been off form lately.

Walker kept him quiet when he was playing on the left. He took his goal well though, but he should stay away from our set pieces as much as possible. It's clear the experiment of trying to make him a FK and corner specialist is a massive failure.

I thought he was alright to be honest. I felt that when they switched sides with Martial and he went to the right with Martial on the left it worked out better for both. In these games the style of football we're playing is not very conducive to good performances from our forwards. Too much hoofball, too little support from midfield, too isolated when on the ball, too much tracking back for him and Martial.

We just played a team that is arguably better, especially at possession football, and we had two midfielders against their 3 without our best CM.

Pleased he scored an equaliser against a top team. For a 20 yr old he's coming along nicely. Hope he continues developing from here

He's a striker. Being forced out wide has not been good for his development imho. Looked a better player during his breakout season.

He's not quite ready as an out and out striker imo and is obviously not going to be a full time winger, which sort of means he will contribute situationally here and there.

i'd have him any day of Jesus who I find very mediocre.
Jesus is much better. There's a reason he started ahead of Aguero yesterday and he starts for Brazil.

Rashford was poor yesterday. Good finish for the goal but was no where near involved enough.

Mentality? He showed no fight and looked lazy in a Manchester derby. I think mentality is the biggest concern with Rashford at the moment for me.

Are you for real? What's mediocre about Jesus? The kid has end product, good technique and while small he's pretty strong on the ball. Also does well for Brazil.
