The reality is that he shows some really promising signs but at the moment his decison making and his performances within games are inconsistent. That won’t change overnight. One good performance doesn’t make him the next Ronaldo and a bad one doesn’t mean he belongs in the championship.

We’d be utterly utterly fecked without him.

Hope this isn’t another false dawn, a lot to be happy about with him this game. Some squandered chances, but pretty solid.

Will hold my hand up. I was very critical early in the season. His kicking on now it must be said. I’m glad he has got the CF/9 thing out of his head and settling down on that left side.

MOTM despite the nose bleed he got when played through by Shaw. Credit to Ole for keeping him out wide even when Martial was out and bringing in Greenwood. Long may this continue. 25G+ should be the aim.

He's our player of the season by a very long margin ahead of any other player.

Brilliant game. Was absolutely knackered at the end but you like to see that at the end of a win.

At his best he's unplayable, at his worst he's invisible.

Reminds me of Nani a bit. Time is on his side though. That international break when he was having a shit time did him the world of good. In the best form of his career right now.

What a footballer.

Anyone who thinks Sancho should be ahead of him for England is off their rocker.

It's hard to believe Ole would win any game without him.

His first half performance was frightening, he took Aurier to school today

He went by the name of Wayne Rooney
Would have loved to have seen him score a hat trick but delighted anyway. What a player we have on our hand here. One of the best big game players in the league.

Now he needs to start doing this against weaker team.

What a start to the season, if you can say one positive thing about Ole, he is getting the best out of him and Martial. Now imagine if we get Pogba back and we give Ole time to buy a half decent number 10 and we might be getting somewhere. Either way, Rashford has stepped up when most doubted he could handle the pressure this season.

Feel for him sometimes because he gets some really cringeworthy comments thrown at him. When he plays well he’s the next Ronaldo and when he plays poorly he needs to be loaned out. We’ll see one half come out over the next few days and the other half will come out next time he struggles. It’s pretty cringeworthy but it is what it is I guess.

The reality is somewhere closer to the middle IMO but he was brilliant tonight.
