Clarity on his role? How about, you will play football as long as you perform. If you don't you will be on the bench or sold. What sort of clarity does he need?

He needs to stop talking, he might actually be toast. I really don't think Ten Hag is going to like all of this PR nonsense he has been doing.
Maybe if he showed that hard work and professionalism on the pitch he wouldn't have to have his PR team come out every 5 minutes with the same BS excuses. It really is getting boring now.
Think its clear enough to be fair to him. Be will know Ten Hag wants to operate a particular system and will need a bit of time to know if thats suited to him or if he needs to move on for a winger that is.Clarity on his role? He's not even trying anymore with that second tweet. "Sources close to Rashford say he's continuing to train hard and professionally"?
Sounds like that leak the other month that went in to detail about 14 players leaving due to how shit things are behind the scenes and then the last line was "the squad also think Jesse Lingard should play more"...He's not even trying anymore with that second tweet. "Sources close to Rashford say he's continuing to train hard and professionally"?
Spare me the PR nonsense Marcus, how about you transfer over that supposed hard work and professionalism onto the pitch instead of looking disinterested every-time you come on.
Thanks for training hard and professionally Marcus. We are eternally grateful. Means a lot. He's not even trying anymore with that second tweet. "Sources close to Rashford say he's continuing to train hard and professionally"?

Yeah its clear as daylight.Sounds like that leak the other month that went in to detail about 14 players leaving due to how shit things are behind the scenes and then the last line was "the squad also think Jesse Lingard should play more"...
To be fair, every time Ralf has spoken about Rashford, he's said that he is training well but is struggling for confidence in game. He's not even trying anymore with that second tweet. "Sources close to Rashford say he's continuing to train hard and professionally"?

told ye all this at the time. by the second half of last season James was a miles better option and would have been this season too. Miles better.Watching Leeds vs Palace.
Dan James looks 10 times the player our Rashy is.
That’s how far he’s fallen.
Pace is the least of his problems. Having a brain is the big one it seemsHe's lost the explosive pace he had a couple of years ago and isn't getting it back. He's still fairly quick but not quick enough to make up for the other deficiencies in his game. I'll be amazed if Ten Hag can find a use for him.
Problem with these quotes is the situation is being made out like it was just a matter of favour and he was done dirty. He was originally a part of Rangnick's plans but his play forced Ralf to change course. The 4222 that failed moved everyone else out of their natural positions to make Ronaldo and Rashford the focal points. His touches in that game were absolutely diabolical and he made it clear early on he couldn't link up or do anything that didn't ask him to run goalwards. Maybe GifLord has some footage of his touches in Ralf's first game . We saw layoffs and one touch passes into no man's land.
Wait that was an actual thing?I’m convinced he’s the primary leaker.
I still laugh at the “sources say he’s been asking Ronaldo what his muscle mass was at his age” style of tweets, all while giving 3/10 performances every week![]()
Wait that was an actual thing?
This was in jan. Even assuming he's put in 100% and gave everything he's got he's still shite and should be sold asap. On the other hand if he hasn't then he has effectively downtool'ed and should be sold.
You can only laugh...
In the interests of fairness, this is exactly what we want to hear/see from the younger players, we want them to be asking Ronaldo questions and learning from what he does and has done.

And this here is the issue. In the interests of fairness, this is exactly what we want to hear/see from the younger players, we want them to be asking Ronaldo questions and learning from what he does and has done.
Now, whether it's true or not is a completely different matter.
The things he should be asking Ronaldo are more football related, not diet and muscle mass. There is not correct amount of muscle for a footballer and diet is somewhat personal. The reason Ronaldo is as good as he is relates to his insatiable appetite to be the best. To train harder, longer and with more focus than his peers. To put all the other crap to the side and focus on his football. The best footballer is not the one who has the best diet and physique, its the one who continues to improve and learn. In the interests of fairness, this is exactly what we want to hear/see from the younger players, we want them to be asking Ronaldo questions and learning from what he does and has done.

If he's asking him about detailed things such as diet, muscle mass, then it would be astonishing to believe he hadn't also been asking him about football related issues in fairness. You' imagine as a footballer you'd ask about football experiences before delving into other details. As I said, whether or not that story is true or not is anyone's guess. The things he should be asking Ronaldo are more football related, not diet and muscle mass. There is not correct amount of muscle for a footballer and diet is somewhat personal. The reason Ronaldo is as good as he is relates to his insatiable appetite to be the best. Rashford is the complete opposite of Ronaldo. If Ronaldo was in an underperforming team when he was younger he would have just worked even harder to stand out and drag the team forwards. He wouldn't have been putting out a load of crap on social media about it. He would have done his talking on the pitch.
This seems to be a somewhat modern thing where people have somehow come to believe that what you say is more important than what you do. As long as you are saying the right thing you can largely do what you want and people will fawn over you. Seems to be working pretty well for Rashford to be fair. I reckon most people outside the United die hards still think hes the mutts nuts.
12 hours a day

Probably why he barely moves on the pitch. Poor guy is knackered12 hours a day![]()
