We’ve said this for years. When he’s off his game (60% of the time) he’s amateur bad. Looks leggy and lacks smart ball protection like Ronaldo, Bruno and Sancho have

His technical ability and close control are not his best attributes. If we play the kind of game that requires one touch football to create chances, he will struggle and his deficiencies will be even more exposed. Sitting deep and getting teams on the counter is his strength and I'm not so sure he can do it in a system where we bring the game to the opposition.

Am I right in thinking he was actually decent in the first half? Then was really, really bad in the second.

For the last 12 months or so he seems to have a major issue with staying onside but it's not even the fine margins when we're attacking but more often just extreme laziness in getting back or outright stupidity
This. This guy has no idea how offside works and he has been a passenger in the team for a while now. Needs to be dropped sorry.

You're right, he actually started the game brightly only to become shit all of a sudden. It still baffles my mind.

Rashford hasn't looked himself for awhile. I thought he was poor against Arsenal but salvaged it with the assist. Today, even when we were on top in the first half, he looked the worst of the front four. Baffles me because with his speed you'd think he'd be thriving in a transition set up. Needs to be looking over his shoulder at the moment.

Exactly why I see him struggling if we approach games like we did vs CP. His link up game is poor.

He's so poor and so lazy. I seriously don't think he has much footballing intelligence. He just doesn't know where to run or when to run, just stands there and waits for the ball. When dribbling he just runs into trouble with his head down. Really poor and it's no longer looking like a slump, even when he was on good form his lowest level was just as bad as what he is showing now.

I realised today that he has played more games for us right now than Beckham did in 2000. All this young player stuff needs to stop.

Hard to know what's going on in Rashford's head right now. He looks disinterested and his quality and effort is lacking in general.

Just hoping he has one of those penny-drop moments with the help of coaching from Rangnick, a bit like Salah and Sterling have benefitted from Pep and Klopp.

Did well running the channels but he's really poor on the ball when we're looking for close control and some skill. I think that's a problem when we play this way and he's just more suited to counterattacking football. Anyway, let's see what Rangnick does with him.

I'm hoping Rangnick will get him to up his work rate and work on his game whilst he's up against a low block. It seems to me that he's been used as a counter attacking threat for so long to exploit space, that the rest of his game has started to suffer.

So I'm hopeful to see him get back to basics and become a more team orientated player under Rangnick. He has strengths we can benefit from but needs guidance.

I thought he made few good passes in final third, which he used to try and take a shot. He also made runs into channels, which came to nothing.

He should improve his form, with players like Greenwood on the bench and Rangnick not afraid to play players like Elanga it's a good challenge for him.

Agreed. He's much better than his current form and can be a very productive player for us. I've been critical of him in the past but I think he needs our support right now, and under Rangnick, I'm hopeful that we'll see a more rounded player.

Yeah, he is much better than his current form. I don't understand all this "he can't con Ralf like he did Ole", he was good under Ole and saved him so many times. He was very productive player in a dysfunctional team.

Now that we have coach with defined way of playing, it will be interesting to see who gets picked. For coaches who relies on system, the dependency on individual won't be very high. Under Ole it was like we had to play our best 11 all the time or we won't get result.

Agree. Worst thing for me is that he looks so disinterested.

If he was showing the effort and passion but it wasn’t quite happening, fine let him crack on. But he looks like someone who has lost his fire

A bit unfair to put this way perhaps, but Rashford of late looks like a player who's been studying Martial too closely.

Bit unfair? It's nonsense. Martial is getting lot of shit and now you want to tag him for Rashford's poor form.

Don’t know how he lasted the full 90 mins as he reminded me of myself when I play football.

Woeful would be an understatement.

He’s never really been that good and was overrated at the best of times but it just feels he’s completely switched off, like he doesn’t even know himself what to do with the ball.

Cavani needs to get fit.

Not giving anything for the shirt right now, would be stunned to see him show a bit of grit on the pitch.

When will we stop giving him guaranteed position in the main lineup regardless of his form ? Him and Bruno can be absolute shit and will never leave the pitch.

He got on the ball, so at least he was trying to do something. I guess. That's it, though. A real 2/10 (maybe worse) performance. Very disappointing.
