Rashford Dribble isn't what it was in the past, his 1v1 skills downgraded massively and holding up the ball is non existent.

We'll score a goal with him as a striker only if we're in transition like he did against Arsenal last week and against Spurs and city a few years back.

I'm not sure if he's best as main striker or but all I know is that we're quite comfortably a more threatening side with him in our starting 11. I feel he's more important than Antony, Martial or Sancho. He's the only one that has blistering pace in our front line and all things considered, he's pretty ruthless when it's just him and the keeper.

With both Rashford and Martial out, this break isn't the worst thing to happen.

Good to know as I now half believe we will drop points every other game Ronaldo starts. Begging to be proven wrong but the way they drop common sense to center every attack around him is a losing formula. They just spam attempts over the CBs like they won't see it coming after the first two dozen attempts. Absolutely hate the way the club acts so starstruck over a player who no longer has 'it'.

I don't think we do that anymore, it's more a case of he's naturally the only guy who makes those runs, but as a player he's someone that just kills the attacks or ruins the chances now. The rest behind him are all creators, so if no Rashford to make runs, then Ronaldo will get all the chances.

Let's get honest. All the chances falling to Ronaldo has less to do with being the only scoring specialist and more with consciously playing a highly predictable low functioning style when he starts.

Sancho and Bruno already have goals from the kind of chances they rarely see in the Ronaldo system. Then many of our goals from the other attackers involve major playnaking contributions from the CFs. It's not about only having playmaking specialists. Those guys know how to find the net as well but are reduced to a very rigid playmaking role with CR present. Some of those runs don't even make sense within the context of many attacks or require the players to bin build up to go stupidly direct. It's like he's playing his own system where he only wants to go where he wants to be not where he should actually be. He also resists running down channels that don't go goalwards and it adds another layer of predictability to how well he can spearhead attacks. I truly agree when Ralf said he isn't a CF. It's a wide forward masquerading as one.

Manager clearly rates him.

He doesn't have what it takes to be a striker, no coach can instill instinct in a player who doesn't have it.

He should play on the left wing and run at the full back with pace.

17 days for him and Martial to recover until our next game . I hope it’s enough

That is dark. Erik ends the queen? Who knows? She's suffered so much watching united these past 10 years and now we are winning, she thought, I best get out while the going is good and then boom..she leaves. We lose! Spared again.

Needs to improve his hold up play, aerial ability and playing with back to goal and I wouldn't mind him as the #9 not sure how effectively those things can be coached to the level needed though

From some reports its quite apparent that Rashford would have been in the squad if fit...
he'll make the wc squad if he continues his form, Abraham/Toney/Bowen will drop out.
Over for Sancho though.

Premier league player of the month 2 goals and 2 assists, good performances against the teams in and around the top of league/favourites safe to say he is on his way back to form
We can only hope. I feared for him at the start of the season but he’s certainly turned it around. I think the change came in the second half against Liverpool. Something seemed to click.
If the same can happen to Martial then we may just see the season out without an old fashioned forward.

Surprised he is actually player of the month ahead of Haaland, but happy for him. Hope he's fit vs City

I think it could be a case of "well we cant give it to Haaland EVERY month!" He wasnt even in the shortlist. KDB was, then you had Billing, Hojbjerg, Iwobi and Ramsey. Rashford had the best month out of that lot I feel, not that I can barely remember our last few games!

Why are people making compilations from 3-4 years ago? Why are there none of the last 2 years?

Do not rate him one bit but he appears to be hitting some form, so long may it continue. He is an absolute shadow of his former self in those compilation videos from a few years ago. It is such a shame to see.

Pleased for him, but what a ridiculous decision.

Player of the month in the league and you’d think he was the worst player in the league going by some people here.

he only played well for like a minute in that month, i know that he scored 2 goals from the counter and had an assist but apart from that his general play was terrible, but i hope he get confidence boost right now and can play a little bit better than the last few seasons. Still for me he is nowhere near the first eleven and should be a good player to come on for tired defenders, but if we do not have any space against lesser teams there is absolutely no use for him.
