Imagine Rashford wins the CL with Villa.

I don't think Villa winning it is impossible. It seems like it could be setting up nice for Villa. Madrid look like they are in trouble (never write them off, though). Madrid have their problems this season. Just imagine Rashford walking into Carrington during the summer as a CL winner!

Would be happy for him but Christ, his ego would be worse.

Rashford scoring would hopefully add a few millions to transfer value.
I don't think the transfer value is the issue with Rashford, it's more his wages IMO. Villa lets say could afford to buy him, don't see them matching his wages. Up to him if he will take a pay cut. Unless whatever club gives a high sign on fee, I think Madrid always do that.

There is no way Villa are beating this PSG team over two legs. The difference in quality is ridiculous.

Looks like PSG are gonna have a lot of the ball tonight but lucky for Villa they got Rashy to charge about shutting down their attacks at source /s

I don't expect they will - never say never. PSG have been quality. Just takes one game to mess up and headed to VIlla park won't be easy with the crowd buzzing and playing away from home etc... If they get past PSG (big ask, I agree), it's not impossible.

These are the kind of games Rashford usually excels at. Whole team behind the ball so his pressing doesn't need to be great. Lots of space to run into. Obvious why Emerim starts him.

He's been alright, wouldn't be shocked if he scores as I reckon Villa will get chances to break even more in the second half.

He was okay first half. Second half showed why Watkins should have started. So much better at holding it up and chasing lost causes. He simply couldn’t buy them time in that second half on the turnovers.

Funny though thinking he was linked with PSG with the options they have.
If he joined them, he’d do well to get boot cleaner duties.

On top of lacking the ability to play for psg, it's also the effort that's a problem. That psg team is works extremely hard. The only time I've seen Rashy work hard close to that level is when he plays for England.

I thought he was pretty awful. Don’t miss him in the slightest. Rodgers is miles better for Villa and don’t even start on the quality in that PSG attack in comparison which is the standard Utd should be aiming/hoping for.

Yeah that really stood out. Kvara was snapping into tackles all over the pitch. So frustrating the way United never seem to find players that combine even a fraction of his technical ability with that sort of effort (other than Bruno anyway)

Very poor again and reminds of just how low the bar is for those who still want to defend his decline to a bad player. See his ratings from around the papers from France to uk as anything from 3 to 6 out of 10. 3 is harsh, 6 is generous. And of course, as always, the basic work rate is just not there - night and day between him and psg attackers

His walking around in the 2nd half without a care in the world while the whole team behind was in deep shit brought me bad flashbacks.

It’s laughable that his agents were touting him for Barca and PSG.

Villa won’t sign him either this summer. He costs too much in salary and isn’t worth it.

We’ve got to deal with this problem again this summer….

Cheeky propose to Villa a swap for Rodgers and we add a couple 10 mil on top to sweeten the deal?

Those bemoaning Rashford's 'politics' sure aren't as vocal with the ubiqitious coverage of prince William at last night's game, are they?

In terms of football, Rashers didn't have the worst game last night but I haven't seen enough to suggest we should be taking him, and his exorbitant wage, back come summer.

Forest should buy him with their Champions league money. He would suit them down to the ground with their counter attacking style. Elanga and Rashford on either side with Giggs White would be a very good attack.

Quite frankly, anyone even remotely contemplating bringing him back doesn't understand his current state much (physical, ability, mentality, motivation).

I know his poor work rate off the ball is often higlhighted, but it's so sad he seems to have just lost all his imagination.

Compare him to Kvaratskhelia, Dembele, Doue. He's just lost the spark which once made him an exciting forward.

His time at Villa merely confirms that this in fact his level, an argument made by plenty on here when talk of a £300k+ contract started a couple of years ago. Even the most ardent fanboy will be unable to point to a single performance that merited that contract which made him one of the best paid players in the PL.

Morgan Rodgers on £75k a week, McGinn £120k, Martinez on £150k, Rashford on over £300k. It never made sense and never will.

Hopefully big transfer sum or at least anymore amount that can help us get a replacement without having to compromise others spots that are also needed.

Interesting. Wonder why the Saudis haven’t been looking at Rashford as well since he’s a well known player in the best league.

I guess when Rashford and his brother communicate through the proper channels that they are open to him going there, the offers will come.

Yeah I guess another consideration would be his England career. If he moved to Saudi he would be a bit out of sight, out of mind to most.

Well, he is definitely playing for that contract at Villa, and I could not be more happier if that happens. Win win all around.

Thought he was average apart from a couple runs in behind and the assist.
Great that he’s playing and getting goal contributions though, really hope Villa or someone takes him.
