Dont remember him taking many corners for us which is weird considering the amount of times Bruno/Eriken/whoever floats it to a oppo or generally just does the shitest cross ever.

Thought it was going to be a long night after the first couple of minutes but he looked class 2nd half. Is a bit bitter sweet seeing him do things he hasn't done for in months/years but alas, good luck to the lad where ever he goes.

Thought he was average apart from a couple runs in behind and the assist.
Great that he’s playing and getting goal contributions though, really hope Villa or someone takes him.
I only saw the second half, but in no way was Rashford average. Looked to me that everything good that Villa did came through him and he was terrorising PSG- they had no answer. That 15 minute spell was world class. Why they subbed him I will never know as Villa’s chances dropped considerably as soon as he exited the pitch

One way or another, highlight reels/actions in games like this can only be a good thing for us.

Makes me wonder why we never had him try more FKs and Corners. I like Bruno but I feel like we should've tried more with Rashford especially when a direct score wasn't possible

Rashford up for it last night. Chasing everything. Really wanted every ball. if he did that week in week out you'd keep him 100%

he hasn't looked like that for Villa much in fairness.

And neither for us in the last 3 years

Too bad he didn't really put in that much effort for us off the ball especially the last two seasons.

Also his sloppiness and lackadaisical dribbling led to PSG's opening goal.

Hopefully this isn't just media talk by Unai

Pretty sure Rashford doesn't want to stay at villa, he said in his interview he's there for now or something.

If a barca come in he's off basically

Great audition. Not convinced Villla will pay up because his arrival and retention seem tied to their Champions league ambitions.

At £40m, He’s a “bargain” for a top European side (that only focuses on his highlights). PSG could do worse than Marcus and I think a new challenge would serve him well.

Barca aren’t coming in for him.

I think they'll keep him if the make the champions league. Let's hope he finishes the season strongly and can bag a goal or two.

I think him signing wouldn’t help the dressing room, I read somewhere McGinn is only on £120,000 and Rashford would be hitting double that surely . Not sure it’s good for dressing room morale when Rashford is hot and cold performance wise . Watkins won’t be sad to see the back of him . Tuchel less him out and included Rashford now he’s taken Watkins position up top.

English media going out of their to hype up his performances and if that plays a part in United getting the chance to offload him permanently for a decent fee great but lets be honest he's a long way off the Rashford of 2022/23 when he scored 30 goals and assisted 12 in 56 games and will probably never reach the level again.

Do Barca need him? Maybe he can clean Raphinia's boots
Sell Raphina for like £75m+, pick up Rashford for about £30m, sell him after he tears up quite an average league = financial woes eased.
They will always get CL football, they just need to make some big sales.

I feel he's just ticking the boxes he needs to on the pitch at the moment, and will revert to the Rashford of the past 2+ years in a United shirt, once he gets a move. In saying that he's still nowhere close to the player he was when he was firing for United.

Fair. I forgot about the good dribble and shot he got off which Donarumma saved well.
First half he was only ok, gave the ball away a few times. And yes, they slumped a bit after he went off.
Good to see him performing, 40m would be a big help.

Missed the semi final but good to see he managed to make the boxing.

Don’t think Villa are signing him….spanner in the works really as he isn’t wanted back at OT and doubt the clubs he wants want him

look at the two guys he took on....ruiz and vitinha....two slow footed mids not full backs or center backs who actually can defend

Both PSG and Portugal have played Vitinha as their deepest DM. Wouldnt be my first choice tactic, but they have both done it and he can only beat who these strong teams put in front of him

If that’s United losing in a semi and Rashford being at a boxing game the same evening, that’s your podcasts agenda sorted for a week. He should see the benefits of being at a relatively low profile club.

Yeah would have been all over press and Talkshite too

I very much doubt that Villa will sign him now but with the performances he put in on Champions league games I believe someone will take a punt. On his day he can be world class still

I like that he is finally playing as a striker for Villa, and they are not pushing him to the touchline like we did under ETH.

Cautionary tale with Rashford, and the situation epitomizes the incompetence of the previous regime.

Putting him on a weekly salary of £300,000 (excl bonuses) completely obliterated any motivation or incentive to actually perform for the club.

Hoping we don't make the same mistakes again, we really need to incentivize through player contracts and ensure these players are motivated to reach the very top.

I'd hope we get a decent fee for him in Summer and potentially - dream scenario - we put that into an offer for Osimhen.

I always wonder how a figure like 200k a week equals a player still motivated but 300k breaks the player. How is it decided what level of ridiculous money equates to a lack of purpose.

Agree with most of that but how can you say all that and then say dream scenario is to sign Osimhen? Forgetting the problems off the pitch for a second that has him playing in Turkey during his prime years, doesn't he want a ridiculous wage? Seeing people say he wants 300-400k a week

If the stars align and we do win the EL, getting rid of this grifter will be almost impossible. His wages go up 25% and no way will he go without a huge payoff - the bloke can’t lose in any situation right now.
Someone posted earlier that Rashford can be world class. I’d love to know when they seem that regularly in a United shirt. The odd glimpse of class doesn’t make a player WC.
