But the issue is the wages, accumulated over the length of the contract he would sign for a club it's incomprehensibly expensive for a player of Rashford's level.

The notion of United being unable to sell players is solely down to the wages. Dan James for example one of the better signings in recent times considering his valuation is an example of this. Anthony, Sancho and Rashford all have something to offer but what they earn in contrast to their respective quality is a problem.
