No one can convince me it was a better idea to go any buy someone like Summerville for £60mil + wages, than keep Rashford for another couple of seasons, if there is no £25mil+ offers on the table for him.

I'm happy to have him back. Gives us a genuine left winger. Should rotate well with Cunha, with the latter playing across the front three.

Look at the window now. He’d of been a bargain for someone at 25m. Players going for 85m or more in his position.
I am happy to have him back. He is still a good winger to have and should offer lots when playing against top half teams when we can rely on counterattacks more.
Really positive today. Unlucky not to get an assist from a great cross. Liked that he was pressing and tracking back as that has generally been the biggest criticism of Marcus. Think he'll contribute a good number of goals and assists this season.

Surprised by the comments. I thought he was broadly poor. Showed some decent energy at least, but lacked end product. Could have been a lot worse, but for me Cunha is clearly the superior option on the left, one Sesko is fit.

I was very much in the "sell him" camp as I remember the time when he clearly couldn't give a crap being here.
Judging from today he's in the proving people wrong mode which is a great place to be for a player like Rashford who needs that fire.
He'll have a great season but I'm not sure where that puts us next summer as I just don't think he's a £300k+ a week player.

he's done well, maybe he means business, but we all know how that goes when we dont play a relegated side at home where we are supposed to attack and attack. Done well with the ball though and can be used to an extent, same as Tielemans and Martinez who will struggle with more pace and pressure against much better sides.
As long as we dont give him a new contract I am fine with that, if he keeps that form reduce his wage to half after two successful seasons hes got left as hell be nearing 30.

Thought he looked good. He was a much bigger threat than Mbeumo and should have had an assist. He also showed some much needed intensity and desire when he won the ball back a couple of times after losing it himself. He definitely looked like someone trying to prove himself which is a very good sign. Long may it continue.
Thought he was okay. Defensively mostly good but let’s see how long it lasts. Going forwards, he had some decent moments but he, like he used to, still more often than not just dribbles straight into an opponent.
I think he could make a very good super sub when the game is stretched against tired legs but he can’t be starting for us week in week out.

Quiet in the first half. Positionally poor at times. Seemed to be going through the motions, though he wasn't alone.
Came out brighter in the second half. Stretched the play out on the left.
Produced a couple of decent passes. Gave the Ipswich backfour something to think about. Showed more willingness to come back and get into the teams defensive shape. Produced one great tackle.

I think today he struggled some due to no LB overlap and lacked support on the Left. I think he did have good moments, hopefully it continues. Also should have had an assist and could have had a goal.

And thats a very fair statement to make. But offensively he is better than Dorgu and a few times he put in a few threatening balls into the area, and on another day one of his chances would have gone in.
But, you can forgive all that for the other side of the game, he was putting in effort off the ball. Look, I can forgive a player having a bad game, but you must give maximum effort. 6.8 is a fair reflection of his performance today. Did ok, worked hard. Should have got an assist when Mbeumo missed that sitter. Almost scored a couple himself.
Now that he's back in the squad, if he shows a good attitude we can certainly use him this season. The good thing is that he can now be subbed or rotated as necessary if his performances are sub-standard, unlike the Ten Hag years where he played practically every minute no matter how badly he played.
Put a good shift in, and had some good moments in attack like getting that cross in for Mbeumo. He does seem a better guy, whether it's working hard and get a move or contribute while he's here. I think Carrick can help ease the situation as well as reflection on his time away.
