Obertans #1 fan.
He’s officially joined on loan for the season.

What we expecting out there? I think 25 goals is a reasonable expectation.

I think he’ll be second choice so no more than 10 goals and 5 assists. He’ll be back next summer for more of the same chat

He’ll probably run more this season than he has in his entire career combined at United. But I hope he smashes it so we can finally be rid of him for good.

25 goals might be a bit optimistic but not impossible depending on how much he plays but he should benefit from Barca's efficient offense. He should be the main backup for all 3 offensive positions, his main competition being Ferran Torres. Biggest problem for Barcelona is they dont have a natural RW backup to Lamal, whether it's Torres, Rashford, López or Olmo, they're all better either centrally or on the left.

Thought hed be nailed on for 19 but 14 is definitely a classy number with lots of history at Barca

Best of luck to him. Positive outcome for all parties here.

12 goals I reckon. Will be solid but not spectacular

It's a shame he lost his way with us for whatever reason.

Hope he does really well and look forward to seeing him hopefully back to his best

Whatever way it all turned out at Utd, definitely hope he does well there and can reignite his career, because it was never going to happen here.

Finally a start on some exits. I hope we're not in the same situation this time next year agreeing another loan for him.

It was never going to happen because of his poor attitude, which begs the question why you'd give a toss whether he does well or not

Yeah - it’s a genuinely exciting move. Great to see our academy players moving to other European giants.

Yeah.

I hope he smashes it and forces his way back into the World Cup squad. Barca just got a lot more interesting to watch now.

if he can't get back to scoring in a Hansi Flick squad in La Liga he is done for. He will get back into the England squad for the World Cup.

This is going to be a fun thread.... not.

All the 'he's upgraded' posts.
Let's see how they feel when he's jogging around in their press.

Can't think of another high profile player who's form and work ethic has been incredibly poor in last 2 campaigns has managed to fall upwards.

Good luck to him though, I guess.

I think he'll be great for them, but they won't sign him permanently.

I do hope he does well for a number of reasons:
  • So they buy him (or someone else who can)
  • He's one of ours - lost his way, poor mentality but I don't believe he actively meant any ill will to the club - he just lost motivation and the required focus here.
  • He isn't playing for a league rival
  • I think he has the attributes to rip it up there if he can find the motivation

Hopefully he smashes enough past Oviedo and Levante to get us a few quid for him.

Probably not, though.

First of many exits, I hope. The start of a cultural shift.

Thanks Marcus for the times when you tried.

Think he'll be really happy there, good weather, surrounded by players even more talented than him.

Think we will see a very good Rashford.

Just saving on his wages is financially huge for us too.
