Marcus Rashford - Barcelona Watch

It was never going to happen because of his poor attitude, which begs the question why you'd give a toss whether he does well or not
Because if he does well, Barcelona or some other team might likely activate his buy option which is good for us?

Hope he gets a fresh start and kicks on. Ferran got around 19 goals and 7 assists in all comps last season in around 45 appearances or just over 1900 minutes.

So 20 goals in all comps could be an achievable target for him, especially as there’ll be some rotation and injuries etc.

Good luck to him.

Can't think of another high profile player who's form and work ethic has been incredibly poor in last 2 campaigns has managed to fall upwards.

Good luck to him though, I guess.

If his work ethic and form was as bad as made out on here - it would be surprising.

I think it’s been vastly over estimated and he’s been okay. Just in a poor team.

The amount of people hate watching is going to be off the charts  Hopefully he can get back to his best and secure the move, we get a decent fee and wages off the book and he gets his move to Barca.

In my head he’s got his loan move because he’s generally been respectful. Sancho will be getting ideas but he can rot in the reserves if no one will pay a fee for him.

Thought hed be nailed on for 19 but 14 is definitely a classy number with lots of history at Barca

How tight is that suit and how sharp are those shoes? Still.... He looks better than he had done for a while

As I’ve said countless times, if he isn’t motivated to perform for Barcelona then he may as well pack it in altogether.

I hope to god he isn’t going there thinking he’s starting straight away and can adapt his mentality to being at a club where he’s not the on-paper star player. Their fanbase is quite demanding too so I hope he’s got thick skin when the inevitable first bad performance comes his way.

I can't believe we've let him go for nothing. Yeah the wages... but even so

Amorim publically accused him of not putting an effort in during training and said he'd sooner pick the 63-year-old goalkeeping coach over him, so it's rather disingenuous to say it's only people on here accusing him of not trying. That said, his (complete lack of) effort on the pitch over the past couple of seasons also speaks for itself.

I hope he does well at Barcelona though and they take up their option to buy. Anything to get rid of him permanently.

Good luck to him. Have we still got the record for having an academy player in our match day squad since like forever.

He’ll have a good start then probably fade a bit and then who knows if they’ll take him for good. 15-20 goals isn’t a bad shout.

As well as it being the World Cup year it’s a season that could determine the rest of his career. Fail there and it’s probably Aston Villa or Everton from then on.

Glad he’s gone but if Barce can get him playing anywhere near his best they’ve got an absolute steal. The buy option is incredibly low.

I'm sure I speak for everyone here in wishing Marcus Rashford personal happiness and health, but my God what an arrogant human being he has become. So he implies that because United are in a period of change and thus he had to leave. I wouldn't expect to admit that he did anything wrong, but how he's handled everything since the day after he signed the new contract has been appalling.

Do we have any Barcelona supporters on here and if so, what do they think? Rashford's game is all about pace and power on the counterattack and I have my doubts about his contribution on the pitch to a side that at least I don't think compete against sides that leave themselves open to counterattacks. Most Barcelona opponents, correct if I'm wrong about this, sit in a low block. I've never seen anything in Rashford's quiver that suggests being able to carve open low block defending.

Or maybe it's all about shirt sales, in which case Mes Que Un Club" and roll in the dough.

He is not on the Sancho level of unlikeable but Rashford was adored and admired by all Mancunian reds and he will now be remembered as the guy who spat in their faces. What a fall from grace.

So Lineker said it was the club’s fault, not Rashford’s , as to why Rashford is now where he is?

Get to feck. Bet him and Henry Winter are having a circle jerk over this unveiling.
