So you're saying that's Rashford's fault and not something that was also happening at Barcelona last season when he didn't play for them?So Rashford's playing well and teams are getting in behind Barca and banging them in against them?
Standard.

Ya it’s great when one of our players decides to stop performing for the club.
How ?![]()
Hang on, just seen the score and by the posts here I thought he'd scored a hatrick. Barca wee thumped 4-1![]()
Not much he could have done about the defence going MIA, 4-1 probably flattered Barca in the end.Hang on, just seen the score and by the posts here I thought he'd scored a hatrick. Barca wee thumped 4-1![]()
Incredible takeSo Rashford's playing well and teams are getting in behind Barca and banging them in against them?

That's why it's important to know more than just the scoreline. He played well - was MoTM.
Barca missed a lot of chances - including a pen - and should have been up by 4 or so. With their high-line and chasing the equaliser they conceded two late goals (+90), which skewed the scoreline.
I watched the game.
To get man of the match when your team has been thumped would require an incredible performance. It pretty much never happens.
Good finish for the goal but outside that it was just an ok performance.
Don't know about that one. Sevilla where all over them the entire 1st half and probably should have been 3 or 4 up going into the break. On Rashford he played fine, he started on the right and was on the peripherals at bit too much, every thing seemed to go down the left. Got moved to the left and was a lot more of a threat. He wasn't at fault today for the attack looking dull, Lewa and Torres had a stinker. That's why it's important to know more than just the scoreline. He played well - was MoTM.

I don't know what you're saying here. It wasn't an opinion, I'm simply stating the fact he was MoTM and that it was a closer game than the scoreline suggests. It wasn't really a debate

Just saying he wasn't man of the match. Whoever named him so got wrong. Was just an ok performance with a decent goal.
Not being funny but you watched that game and the 1st thing you thought was he didn't work hard enough and they're worse with him in it? Strange take away when judging that specific game.I watched the game and thought Sevilla could have won by more despite the Barca penalty
That I agree with. Don't know who you'd pick from Sevilla to give the MOTM too. Their RB did all right I suppose.I mean, he was. Whether you think his performance warranted it is a different discussion - but I wasn't commenting on the "quality" of his performance. Simply that he was chosen as MoTM, which he was.
I thought he played well, but I also don't think there were outworldly performances in the game.
Essentially correct. It's fan votedProbably because everyone else is irrelevant outside of Barcelona and Real Madrid in that league, or it seems that way at least.
The team aren't better with him in it. He doesn't work hard enough. It'll end in tears.
I think he works hard with the ball bit not enough without itHe was working harder than most of them today. Pedri the only exception
That bitterness will eat you up insideThe team aren't better with him in it. He doesn't work hard enough. It'll end in tears.
I think he works hard with the ball bit not enough without it
@NotThatSophI was listening to one of the Catalan radio stations, and they were saying that he was probably Barça’s best player today. However, they were also complaining that Barça’s pressing has dropped a lot this year, and that he’s one of the reasons why.

It’s push back against the online trolling about all of our players improving when leaving and “Man United are the problem button ——>” posts. So much toxicity on here, it's embarrassing.
Weird reply. You guys seem to take it personally when people aren't foaming at the mouth when they see and/or hear Rashford's name. It's odd
because he was likely the best player on the pitch. I don't think the scoreline reflects how close a game it was

It really depends on him. If he continues like this they'll be happy to sign him as long as the wages are reasonableRapinha is a lot better but seems to be doing good as a back up. Still don't think they will sign him unless he has an outstanding season, right now he's doing ok.
I think he works hard with the ball bit not enough without it
Barcelona's doesIt all depends on what you need of your attackers. Not all setups require the attackers to spent energy pressing without the ball.
Have you seen Barcelona's defence in the past 2 games? I mean their defence isnt a strong point at the best of times but its chaos the past 2 games. Its almost reminds me of us 2 seasons ago where we averaged 20 shots against us. Sevilla broke away with a cross across the goal and missing like 4 times
Barcelona have much bigger issues right now than Rashford not always tracking back
Its not tracking back, its pressing. Barcas defensive setup is based on the press working. You cant play that high a line and not press well.
ShadowingAgree. I don`t see any of United`s tacklers coming in to assist with a bone cruncher and this looks like a situation where Marcus is actually doing a bit of shadowing in place of somebody else. There`s at least two other United players who could do the job yet they`re holding back.
Regardless of what was going on re the club and tactics at that time, I`m fairly certain it wasn`t Marcus` brief to pressure opposition players and close them down while other United players stood around watching.

This. Glad to still see a few United Fans who havent completely lost it when it comes to Rashford.
It would help to specify what sport you are watching. There probably are some sports in the world were this piece of ‘defensive work’ doesn’t warrant being pulled off the field in the next break.Genuinely don’t see what is wrong there.
Is that what people are talking about when they criticise Rashford? fecking hell - no wonder I don’t agree with a lot of people.
We have a player with probably one of the best return of goals/assists in the top leagues and people are still saying he’s not playing well.
I’m watching a different sport to a lot of people.
It was a joke! Twisted firestarter.Thats a dumb comment.
La Liga has fans do votes for man of the match, so it's pretty irrelevant and will tend to just be the more popular players from the bigger teamsHow ?![]()
