We do not know what he is asking for, if Barcelona won't go for him, its unlikely he can get a higher wage elsewhere. It's his wage that's expensive, not the transfer fee.

I mean he's not out of contract next year. He can simply sit on his arse here and be our highest earner. We do not know what he is asking for, if Barcelona won't go for him, its unlikely he can get a higher wage elsewhere.
Very true.I mean he's not out of contract next year. He can simply sit on his arse here and be our highest earner.
There is no reality they can come close to affording haaland.Barcelona will have to replace Lewandowski next summer. Pretty much all of their budget will go into that
They're planning a real push for Kane or Haaland
They'll supposedly be fine with the league's financial rules and with the reopening of camp nou are expecting to have quite a bit of money to spend. If Haaland pushes for a move....There is no reality they can come close to affording haaland.
Well thats very interestingHopefully the rumours about them not activating the clause aren't true. Their fans seem mixed, at best, about keeping him. Quotes from the last month from an English speaking + Spanish speaking Barcelona forum:

No. Please do not come back. He may be a great guy outside of football, and probably does do a lot for the community. That's an excellent thing to do.
However he also behaves like an entitled player thinking he is better than he actually is.
He is talented and on his day be unplayable, but he is not the right fit with his attitude issues.
If Rashford doesn't get the space to run, that's 70-80% of his game gone.
Just need to find another club is Barcelona do not extend.
Also United with Cunha, Mbuemo and Amad are just better players up front than him.
Cunha especially keeps the ball under pressure and can play to unlock defenses.
Also Sesko will come good, he has the talent and would want to prove himself in a new league.
25 is ambitious, but not impossible. It depends on service and minutes. If he settles quickly and stays fit, you’re looking at 18–22 realistically. Anything above that is a dream season. He’s officially joined on loan for the season.
What we expecting out there? I think 25 goals is a reasonable expectation.
I can't say I remember a video of all of the team discussing it, but I definitely remember seeing one or two of them saying it. I specifically remember that somebody (not a Utd player) said Rashford was the most skilful player in the England camp, which surprised him as he hadn't realised just how talented Rashford was until that time.Do you have any proof of this? Because an extensive google search finds no such video, or transcript of video. Or any mention of this on the entire internet. Which considering the hyperbole that's created online whenever a player praises another, i find a little surprising.

Rashford used to be very skilful at slow speeds. Once he got up to speed he struggled to manipulate the ball well and he became more of a kick and rush player, but from a standing start or when running at slow speeds he was able to pull off some brilliant stuff that destroyed defenders. He did seem to lose that over the last five or so years though, probably as he seemed to lose agility after the back injury.
No, but I saw it years ago, maybe as part of a prematch. If you don’t believe I saw it that’s fine.
It’s not particularly hard to believe if you’ve watched him play (on the occasion that he’s ’on it’). There’s also a tweet from Eze in this thread along the same lines.I can't say I remember a video of all of the team discussing it, but I definitely remember seeing one or two of them saying it. He’s got two league goals and six overall this year.I think there’s a decent chance Barca do negotiate a deal to sign him. That said and it’s probably highly controversial but I’d have him back in the team if they don’t want him. Get him close to goal and he scores a good amount.
It’s not close to a goal a game no, but it’s a good amount for this stage in the season as I said. I think he’s set up a couple with some nice crosses too. He’s got two league goals and six overall this year.
Not exactly a goal a game

Cheers, ChatGPT.While Marcus Rashford has put up some impressive numbers this season, it’s important to put them in context. At Barcelona, he’s competing with players like Raphinha - a player who could have won the Balon D'or, and Yamal, recently voted the second-best player in the world.
Given Barcelona’s current financial constraints, signing Rashford as a rotational option might not offer the best value for money, particularly when the club’s real priority is a top-class striker.
From Rashford’s perspective, missing out on a move to Barcelona most likely will hurt, but he’s already made his statement this season. He’s proven that he’s still capable of performing at the highest level. Sure, his all-round game might not be quite what it once was, but his stats remain strong. Even if Barcelona pass on him, there’s no doubt he’ll attract interest from other top clubs. The only real hurdle might be his wages.
Cheers, ChatGPT.
He won’t end up at Barcelona but his value is higher, so it worked out for United.
Yeah, very consistent with the opinions of him on here really.Hopefully the rumours about them not activating the clause aren't true. Their fans seem mixed, at best, about keeping him. Quotes from the last month from an English speaking + Spanish speaking Barcelona forum:

Took a pay cut to leave, so very likely he’d not do that. I’d say he’ll end up back at Barca on loan, or somewhere in Italy.I mean he's not out of contract next year. He can simply sit on his arse here and be our highest earner.

I’ve noticed this thread hasn’t been bumped because of goals/assists in a while. Are Barca getting to experience the standard Rashford boom/bust cycle we’ve got to know so well?
Last 3 games he's missed one due to a bug, got 45 and 20 ish in the next 2 and there wasn't much to write home about in either game.I’ve noticed this thread hasn’t been bumped because of goals/assists in a while.
