The whole attempt to somehow blame United for him potentially missing a WC spot is hilarious. Normal footballers play well and earn a spot.

When did arjen robben and David Beckham become the same player  imagine Robben on the LW!

So much hate for the player that I'm kind of enjoying it irritating/fustrating some fans more than it should. Mind-boggling stuff.
Robben started his career as LW, in fact the reason why we were interested him in the first place was because we saw him as long term replacement for Giggs (and we had Ronaldo on the right). seriously people making excuse for rashford's poor form due to Ole played out of position is boring, even RR played him on the right. Lets face it, Rashford has failed to improve as player and fast becoming Theo Walcott.

Robben used to play a lot as a left winger

Shagging hags or tg escort would not be an issue if he gave all on the pitch. Rooney has probably shagged more than ten hags and yes he got a bit of stick for a short time.

Agree with this, Rashford hasn't sufficiently developed his game either to make himself undroppable on the left or to give himself the skills to contribute consistently in other positions.

According to Romano (so take that for what it's worth), Rashford wants guarantees from Ten Hag with regard to being a regular starter. I really think we should cash in ASAP. Zero self-awareness.
He's deluded if he thinks he deserves any assurances of being a starter. Imagine playing like shit for a year and a half and demanding to start every game. If it looked like he was trying, the fans would at least have that. He doesn't even give us that.

I'm calling it. He's going to rip it up under ETH on the left. Sancho on the right

Redemption arc from Utd's own prodigal son.

A lot of our players have been slated this season, maybe rightly so. Calls for players to leave etc have been constant.

Yet I've noticed that there tends to be a bigger defence of Rashford. Why is this?

Yeah the media have favourites but I have tbh even on here some of the defence of Rashford is obvious. Outside of RC people get angry about anything said about him.

I have an acquaintance in the US (he is a brit living there) who I keep in contact with via WhatsApp etc and he is like a foaming lunatic in his defence of Rashford but happily slates everything about UTD. From owners to individual players. He even stopped responding to me a few times when I've said Rashy has been poor.

I don't get it

I defended Rashford on here loads, I loved him as a player and I'm gutted how bad he's been.

But I cannot defend how lazy he's been this season, I cannot defend him strolling around the pitch for 90 minutes and barely breaking a sweat.

If he's now making demands of the new manager to guarantee him a starting place then that's even more disgraceful than his lack of effort all year. What the feck has happened to him?

He chose England over his club instead of doing surgery. Then missed pre season which followed his worst season to date. He should take a closer look at himself.

I get that it feels good to write what feels like a pithy response , but this isn’t a case of believing every single story on Twitter. Sorry.

But do you say that Robben's best years are on the LW or RW?

Players like Mane, Neymar , Sterling, Grealish, Son, Hazard, Salah, Mcneil, Raphinha maybe able to play on both wings but are significantly better at doing their job or performing to get goals on one wing aren't they?

Even Ronaldo played on the RW but the goalscoring version wasn't played there on the right, he was moved to the left so he can utelise his stronger foot more often.

Really hope ETH doesn't give in to pressure and decides to sell him. If someone playing as badly as Rashford demands a starting spot then he clearly doesn't think the manager should do what's rational and in the club's best interest.

Enough with these entitled duds.

I don't think the club has the cojones to bin him.

no what i was saying is that world class player improves all the time, which Rashford had failed so far.

Rashford being excused for not putting in a shift because he's only a left singer not a right winger.

I swear some United fans deserve watching this dross perform - many players have preferred positions, doesn't excuse them for turning into a non league player when not in it - it's not as if he got player at RB for crying out loud, he was asked to still be a winger, just on the opposite side.

If a player forgets how to run and press when playing the same position (just opposite side) then he clearly doesn't have the brains or the skill.

If the above story is true, Te Hag should agree, but put it it writing with a stipulation for Ten Hag to be able to judge if he gets paid for that week or not aka, of Rashford wants to make stupid demands, Ten Hag should be equally demanding.

So you're telling me all that while he was jogging about he still had ambitions to play the WC. How hard can you shoot yourself in the foot. I think it shows sometimes that Rashford has always had golden boy privilege and is genuinely incapable of understanding his current situation

Your defense of rashford is so strange considering how you are when it comes to Pogba.

Both have been shit and have shown very little desire to try for the team (granted Pogba has been doing it for longer), yet you always jump to rashfords defense even when it's really obvious he doesn't deserve it.

Pogba hasn't had one good season the way Rashford has had for us.

Rashford has been out of form for 1 year, arguably 1.5 years post injury.

Whilst he is most likely finished at the club, I don't think his out of form is that long or that bad.

This season only 2 players were on form which was Ronaldo and De gea. Rashford's biggest problem was work rate and not form because his numbers are similar to others in the squad.

Well he also cost 90 odd million. Everyone talks about the cost of English players but somehow never mentions Pogba

He got moved to the right because his one-dimensional game was starting to get exposed on the left.

Listen I actually agree with you with regards to Pogba, but there's no getting away from the fact that rashford has been a shadow of his former self the last year and a half, so defending him just doesn't make any sense to me.

If it was just his form then it wouldn't be such a big deal, but it's a total lack of desire and effort, which is so much worse.

Well I can choose how I support a team and its players.

I haven't given up on Rashford because every single attacker this season is a shadow of their former self. People act like he is some odd one out.

People then see Rashford's lack of effort and get butt hurt by it. I have also seen one odd match where I did see Rashford work hard but none of the team/front line were doing it so it looked like he literally stopped whilst also playing his worst position. I never saw him work hard after that match.

If he is shit under Ten Hag whilst everyone else is good then fine go away.

Average managers and average performance of players.

It’s funny those lining up to defend him against critics who doubt he’s very good by pointing out how exceptionally limited and one dimensional he is.

If anything it’ll be better if he was awful on playing on the right due to ego and lack of effort. No, turns out he’s just exceptionally one dimensional. And that’s what his defenders say

No he got moved to the right because our central midfielder couldn't play central midfield without being a total liability and given his price tag he couldn't exactly sit on the bench either

Rashford started being shifted around because he was no longer performing and we needed to make changes.

Why do people always bring this up. He did what any sensible person would do. I’d have made the same decision in a heartbeat and so would 99.9999% of the people who use it as a stick to beat him.

He had a poor season, he’s far from the only one, yet people want their pound of flesh from him (well, all of the unglamorous English players) more than others. He won’t be sold, he shouldn’t be sold, and to be quite Frank regardless of his football he’s earned a hell of more respect than he gets shown. Question his performances sure, but the level of vitriol that’s thrown at him for no reason is disgusting.

Too much hate and negativity in here for every nothing story. One of the things he certainly needs to do this summer:

Up his fitness levels. He has to work his arse off, even in many additional workouts, to get back to 100% physical level. It all starts from there. He needs to be willing and more so able to give his absolute all every minute he is on the pitch.

The thing is, if the Fans see that he does that, they will appreciate him soon enough again and he has a place at this club. If he continues with his lazy behaviour on the pitch, then yes he absolutely deserves to be saled after next season.

It's your decision Marcus.

Just as much as I score by shifting the goalposts and you not replying to that

you think Robben was just as good on the left as he was on the right. How he played for Chelsea was ultimately different to the RW version of him at Bayern!

Even if that was wrong I showed a whole list of players that are better on one side but not so much the other. Oh can't reply to that now?

You won talking down Rashford as shit early! Well done uncle Bob.

It's all you do, talk people down and you really start feeling like an uncle
