Her dad Thorir (he's from Iceland, hence her last name) is the extremely successfull coach of the Norwegian national team (women) in handball.

Yeah, they’re pretty mch the best handball team in the world, so it’s an elite professional sports family.

Thorisdottir is physically a beast. She’ll be great on a rainy day at Leigh Sports Village.

Can’t translate it all now, but take-aways are:

- Thorisdottir sees the opportunity to play her preferred position as CB instead of midfield, and to regain her best forms after some injuries, botj of which blighted her spell at Chelsea.
- She had interest from more or less all other english super league clubs and quite a few from other countries, but a) she wanted to stay in the English League because she sees it develop towards becoming the best league in the world and b) was sold on United once Stoney met with her and outloned her plan.
- She says Casey Stoney is brilliant in player development, and says she now has recieved more coaching in two sessions at United than in 3,5 years at Chelsea (!).

Music to my ears.

Something must have happened between Thorisdottir and Hayes because no one has spoken "so bad" about her (or maybe Stoney is really so brilliant ).
Probably a mixture of Thorisdottir being on the fringes for tinjured spells, Hayes using her as a midfielder, Stoney impressing her and in addition, Stoney as an experienced CB herself giving her personal coaching already from the start. I don’t think Chelsea don’t have coaching, but mostly it’s a hyperbole for Thorisdottir really being impressed with Stoney and what goes on at the training grounds at United. Which is all good :)
