Dig up stupid!
When we're able to play on the break or against a high line these 2 are great assets

However against a set up like today we are crying out for an old school out and out striker. Someone who actually plays in between the posts and occupies defenders.

The amount of times we got into good positions around the box only to look up and see 7 Bournemouth shirts and not a single united shirt in the box. It's absolutely ridiculous. People were praising the Bournemouth centre halves but today was as easy as it comes for them today, they didn't have a battle of any sort for 90mins.

People point to our lack of creativity and it can clearly be better with a lack of options outside pogba being obvious but clever passes come from clever runs and we simply don't make them. Chances to score come from creating openings in the area and we don't move defenders around to create that space. Everything we did today was in front of a mass of defenders who could all hold their shape without fear of losing their man as there was no one to pick up!

Lukaku and Sanchez weren't the long term answer, I'm glad they're gone but today a big lump like Rom would've worked wonders.

The midfield was utterly incompetent today that I can't even bring myself to rate them properly

Not good enough today.
Barely getting the service. Pereira was shocking to be our creative player, the set pieces were shocking as well today. We are relying too much on James alone as our creative player with Pogba injured & all they need to do was just fouling James.

Think both will end on 20 goals in all competions this season which would be great as a start. Theyll have patches of course, and they have to stay fit (especially as we have no backups), but I definitely think they can do it. Martial has 5 in 9, rashford on 8 in 16. Given that both will probably play 40+ games and they're at 0.5 goals per game even so far where we've barely been scoring, its looking good for them 2.

In all competitions.
Rashford - 14 starts - 8 goals + 3 assists
James - 12 starts - 3 goals + 3 assists
Martial - 7 starts - 5 goals + 1 assist
Greenwood - 4 starts - 3 goals + 1 assist

Rashford - 14 starts - Scored or assisted in 8 games
James - 12 starts - scored or assisted in 6 games
Martial - 7 starts - scored or assisted in 6 games
Greenwood - 4 starts scored or assisted in 3 games

Along with their link-up play they've already assisted eachothers goals a fair few times this season.

I'm looking forward to Pogba joining them two and James.

Martial CF + Rashford inside left + attacking left fullback in Williams. Good stuff.

A left footed attacking fullback makes them about twice as dangerous, compared with Young constantly cutting back inside.

Shows you important how am attacking fullback is in the modern game - frees both of them up. AWB and Shaw need to improve a lot in that regard.

Martial should have another assist, and Rashford should have another goal.

Martial's creating for fun here!

When they play together, they elevate each other's game. They link up so well, it's just very good to watch.

That set-up was ridiculous from Martial and his touch before it was beautiful. He’s so much better down the centre, so talented.

If Pogba can get fit and be arsed, he could be amazing at the no 10 role in between these two. It could be magical.

Or Pogba might not be arsed

Martial had a great game today.

His touches in and around the box were sublime at times, and his linkup play was equally good.

They were both on fire this second half. The link between them was amazing. Long may it continue.

Martial is perhaps the only one composed in that attack to make the right decision and pick his man.

Pogba or any decent AM in that matter. Imagine having a player as De Bruyne behind them.

Martial's composure and technique are helping a lot in this combo. They look good together but far better when Martial has ball and searching for Rash. Other way around is still not working that good because Rashford has too many touches too much and is keeping his head down too much

With Dybala or Eriksen on no10 it would be perfect combo
No. Let Ole build the squad the way he wants it. It may take a bit longer, but he wants players that will bleed for Manchester United. For Dybala and Eriksen, United is at best a back-up plan.

They would be far more effective with a better link player in transition. Pereira is not the guy, nor is Mata or Lingard.
But Pogba is. Fred is only getting better for every match, and I see no reasons why Pogba shouldn´t play behind the strikers.

Great pair to watch. Obviously Martial is the special one of the two. He’s a different story through the centre and looks born to be a proper false 9. His movement and passing there is completely different to what he does coming off the left and he looks really happy there. Rashford is much better in the more limited role coming off the left and there’s nothing wrong with that. Pereira doesn’t offer them enough quality, though.

Or he could fail to get 3 good games in a row, hardly move, try a few pointless Hollywood passes then stink the place out with some cryptic Instagram post
