Should give credit to Ole too.

Many managers saw Rashford as the CF and Martial as the LW. Now their roles have reversed and we're starting to see much better performances.

It was such a shame he got injured. Performances are light and day when he plays.

Give Ole more time to get other players like him in.

Says a lot about how thin our squad is. Lingard played up front the other day and we've been relying on a clearly unfit Rashford to lead the line while he's been out.

Martial has talent but he's the definition of a confidence player.

Absolutely. Ole know a striker when he sees one. Just by the touch for his goal you can say that he's deadly

Him and Pogba are without doubt the best two players.
To have any chance of achieving anything this year we need those two playing.

Really good from him. We need to go out and get adequate back-up for him in Jan, as our attacks fell apart too easily when he was subbed off.

I think so. Solskjaer was very unlucky to have him get the worst injury of his United right career right at the start of the season.

In which case it's rather unfortunate that he's so injury prone.

What people don't realise is that he knows how to hold the ball when the pass to his feet. Every good strikers know how to hold the ball against defenders. Drogba, Rooney, RVP, Henry, Ruud, Diego Costa.

Waiting for their team mate to come or bring others into play. It's something that at the moment both Rashford & Greenwood are still lacking. Which is why when he was off, we became less effective in attack since Greenwood hasn't develop the skills to hold the ball especially in tight spot against defenders. And also something that Lukaku doesn't have since his first touch is poor.

Perhaps he doen't run enough to satisfy the "passionistas" in our fans but by all accounts everyone at the club have no doubts about his class. Even people like Mata say they all just give the ball to Anthony in training and let him do his stuff. Alongside Pogba he gives the team the extra finesse that separates us from midtable clubs.

It's been clear for a while. Even when he was playing on the left he was.

Too bad @Aloysius's Back 3 is no longer here. He was constantly saying this was the way to go and got so much stick for it.

For what it's worth, back under José I wanted Martial as our CF with Rashford on the left and Lukaku on the right just because Martial's ball control, hold up play, and ability to resist pressing opposition is on another level to the others.

A mix of him and Rashford tbf. One without the other and we still struggle in attack. Pogba will take it to the next level but we need both up there.

TBF, Under Jose it seemed so obvious. We all felt like that (apart from visionaries). We just didn't see how such an accomplished manager could.. be so inept.

Great to see him back in the team. We actually look like a team that can score goals again.

Not sure if it's that or Jose just wanted a specific mould for his CF. There's been many cases where he's ditched talented players for a style of play he has in mind.

I always found it annoying that José only used one or the other. Like we see now, they should be playing together! Their link-up play is just great.

Good strikers make Manchester United a good team..no sh*t. Hence why it was madness going into the season with only Anthony as a proper 9

We're desperate for him to stay fit, he's our only natural striker bar an 18? Year old.
Another striker to take the pressure off him in January would be grand.

You know what's the worst part Martial is closest to Mourinho's type of centre forward but was never given extended run there or the confidence to excel .

All well and good but I wonder when he loses form and goes back to his sulking and lacklustre(disinterested) demeanour, there will be many here calling him a fraud, overrated and not good enough to lead the line. The life of a fickle fan...

Looked amazing. but credit for us to know how to utilize him the best. Not just purely by playing him as number 9. but by just knowing how to play with him. Tempo, incisive passing, number of runs we made, number of times we held the ball from a rough 50-50 which 7/10 times we've been losing last few weeks, today all those things resulted in being able to play the way Martial should be played as. That is way way way more impressive than his actual performance, which was alright ;) Could do with more goals and a kick in the ass for being that dumb to not try to go for top corner penalties when one player already had bad luck trying to pick his spot, while ref sat there letting Krul get so far ahead. I'd blame Martial to not take that penalty in some other fashion than the only way he did. but for that, what a game. need us to play in similar fashion more, and use him as good as we can use today.

As to him, I hope he gets angrier at penalty miss more to a point where he works on other things and improves more and proves to some here and other places that, between him and Rash if they play well could be 20 goals 15 assists players each partnership at least in the making. Need him to now thrive and flourish.
