Ralf should be careful with his words. He's actually reducing an asset price of a player belonging to the club. These issues should be kept behind the scenes and not for public consumption.
Unless you’re Joel Glazer why do you care? Ralf is a football man and identified a player who’s not fit to be at this club. Isn’t that what we brought him in for? Let the suits and Murtaugh worry about martial’s value let Ralf weed out the frauds and passengers. Let Ralf do what the club didn’t let Jose do.

Im willing to bet Martial will be available for Brentford

Because regardless of how shit he has been the past 2 seasons he is still better than what we have leading the line in my own opinion. I dont think Cavani, rashford or Ronaldo can lead the line better than him. You should ask yourself why a club like United cant find better than him. The club thought it was smart buying a 36 year old player who relies on the whole team serving him. Ole was trying to build a dynamic attacking side and decides to buy a 36 year old player on the decline? If the team was flourishing Martial wouldn't have any defenders on this forum but we are not. As shite as Cavani was yesterday Rangnick would still come out and beg him to stay. Im still hopeful we can turn our season around and for now I will back him till its clear he has disrespected the club which he claims he didn't.
Last season our team was doing fine for the most part. Yet Martial scored what 7 goals?

I don't know how else to put this. He's shit mate. Did you watch last season?

Can't wait for the human garbage in our squad to feck off.

The plot thickens. Lets wait for more information to come out regarding this matter. I knew it was strange that Martial would behave this way.
Yeah, I've seen the quotes but I don't believe Ralf would lie about this, while I could see why Martial would lie to save his reputation. If Ralf lies, all he's doing is building the squad against him even more while lowering Martial's value. It makes zero sense for him to just come out with a complete lie that he called Martial and he refused to turn up. I think Martial will turn this into some kind of 'miscommunication', but if one of them is lying there, I'll go with Martial as the culprit. Makes no sense otherwise.

He may not have point blank refused but intimated it. We'll see what Ralf says and whether it was some kind of virtually refusing in Ralf's estimation or bringing up his loan prospects need sorting out.

The fact this group of players are still able to pull the wool over some of your eyes is incredible. Martial has literally done the same thing before and then threw Jose under the bus after he was sacked. These are players who feel they have zero accountability to anyone- managers, club or fans. The sooner we start turning on them, stop showing up at games home and away and hit them with abuse they rightly deserve, will they consider changing. They do not care about you, the fake apologies sum it all up. Make players like Pogba, Rashford, Bruno, Lingard and Maguire feel your wrath. They are just as accountable to us as they are to the club. They failed to turn up for a club legend in Ole and are seemingly ignoring another in Ronaldo. This is a rotten core. Stop turning on your fellow supporter and let them have it on social media, at games etc.
Bruno has done NOTHING but play his heart out for this club and deserves nothing less than whole hearted support. His attacking output has carried this team since he arrived .Without him we would be in a much worse position as a team/club right now.
Marcus’s only fault it seems has been playing through injury last season and recovering from it this season. Again, as one of our own especially, he deserves nothing but support and encouragement. He is a class act, will come good eventually and will continue to be a very important player for this team.
Plus this is a Martial thread, not slag off the entire team thread.

You can't reduce the price lower for a sulking player who's grossly overpaid.

We'll be lucky to get anything above 15m for Martial.

RR is 100% right regarding Martial as a player in general and I do not belive that RR would lie about Martial failing to show up...it does not take a genius to see when Martial plays that he hardly seems like a devoted professional giving his all on the field for Man Utd. And instead of making excuses for Martial he´s been called out...and that´s a good thing. How many of the United players do not give you back the performances related to their pay? Is it to much to ask a professional to give our fecking maxium effort in each game? Martial, Pogba, Rashford for example are hardly renowned for their workrate..they all seem to belive that they can get away with it to and have been able to up to this point. Pep and Klopp base their teams on hard work to supplement the talent they have. How come we at United have quite a lot of players that do not perform that basic element of any sport in each game? There is no matter how talented you are or if the frecking system is this or that..IF you have lazy players that can not be bothered to do the basic things in football.

Martial might be a lazy and laid back player but I can’t see any sensible player refusing to play for Utd
He has been called out which probably now devalues him
Nobody wins from this, the club ,the manager or the player
Just smacks of more management all round and this is the problem with Utd at the moment

At the moment Bruno is part of the problem. All he does is complain and yell at officials to the point he’s lost all credibility with them. If you want to be a captain act like one, put your head down and earn those calls, they’ll eventually come.

His tendency to whine when things don’t go his way represents the overall mindset of some in our squad. Complaining thru social media about training sessions with McKenna or the new sessions with Ralf. No thought given to the effect it may have on squad harmony just worried about themselves.

We are too soft on our players, the so called “top reds” don’t help. I don’t particularly like Madrid supporters but they have standards and if the players don’t live up to them they let them know. We coddle our players, sing their names and cheer them on even when they’ve shipped 5 goals to the scousers. We’re part of the problem as well, the club and players don’t fear the supporters, they think we’re sheep and will live with and accept every decision they make. Sadly we are where some are still defending Martial.

At the end of the day, regardless of who's right and who's wrong, this is the bottom line.

And I’m pleased with this attitude you don’t go to Old Trafford every week. I’m not a “top red” but I go to support the team.

Awaiting the depressing news of him going on loan to some middle division foreign team any day now...

Probably with us paying 75% of the wages knowing us.

Haha you mean spewing angry bile online aimed at all and sundry and attacking anything attached to the club isn’t supporting the team?!! :houllier:

Baaaaaa, you’re part of the problem my lamb.
I must be then. Thanks for pointing that out. Let me apologise.

I’ll make sure against West Ham I don’t leave unless I’m thrown out for venting my spleen against how pathetic and useless the players are.

Seems a sensible strategy to get the players confidence up.

For a little while under Ole he looked a good player. Had an injury, was out for a while and never really played well again, apart from the odd game. Time for him to move on and everyone will be happier.

The board don’t want him taking the piss and sending a message that you won’t let players walk out cheap is a good idea in some ways but by this point I’d be cutting my losses and looking to the future.

For the very few on here calling for martial to go back into the team, do they realise he has absolutely no idea how to play as a no 9 and lead the line? Shearer and dublin called him out on motd more than once, that he isnt a centre forward as he doesnt understand the role. Hes a wide forward, who does zero pressing or tracking back.

Why can’t just leave him alone? He is apparently broken over past year so he wants to have a fresh start somewhere else. I feel he is that kind of person and there is nothing wrong that he is not mentally as tough as Keane. I just wish him enjoy the football again.

Who is his agent?
I do feel this could be a case of someone feeding him something, perhaps the agent, that his move is imminent and then Ralph coming in and telling him the opposite

Banish this loser to the shadow realm. Just fine him every week and put his locker in the car park.
Enough with the soap opera bullshit. I would not trust a player in this squad to tell me the current weather if we were both standing outside.
:D don't think I've heard this one before but I like it a lot.

United pay the gross. Let's not lose sight of that detail.
Everyone pays the gross. The issue is how it's reported. The press use net with Liverpool, City and Chelsea and gross with us in a negative story yet are wage bills are all roughly the same. It's a deliberate narrative.

Undermine the manager again? When will utd learn?
Never. We are not going to be winning the title any time soon.

May as well pack it in.

You could almost understand it if Martial was smashing them in like Van Nistlerooy. Its genuinely sad to see United bowing down in front of a player who's been part of a team that's not looked likely for years.

We've fallen so far that players who aren't even elite can bully us.

It is possible that Martial said something along the lines of I don’t feel ready to play or mentally in the right place to give my all. We’ve heard this a thousand times when there is transfer speculation on players that they aren’t in the right head space to play.

Maybe Martial said something along those lines and Ragnic put forth what he said but neither being fluent English speakers wires got crossed and he is taking it as just him refusing to play or maybe he himself didn’t understand that the way he says that to the press makes that an entirely different situation.

Either way it seems clear to me Martial wants to leave so if a half decent offer comes in might as well send him on his way.
That's fair enough. Didn't the same thing happened with De Gea under LVG?

And the problem continues. Ralf should stick up two fingers and leave. The Glazers and board aren’t going to listen. No wonder they didn’t want Conte.
I said this the other day. I’d walk at the end of January if Martial and some others were still at the club, and they haven’t brought in one midfielder.

We’ve got reports today (not saying their true) that Ralf has been ordered to appease Martial and Bruno is getting a big fat new contract, for what o don’t fecking know. And they wonder why we’re an absolute mess.

The more you think about it the more Ralf's 'consultancy' just seems like a great big serving of sweet F.A. I can't see him being allowed to have any real influence. He'll pick up some cash every quarter and maybe have an hour on the phone with Murtough every so often. That's it.

We're probably a decade away from a serious title challenge.

I think it’s fixable in 5 years but it has to start being fixed today.

I hope you are right. I just think there's so much wrong with the club that five years seems too short a time.

We're the pound shop version of PSG. Massive salaries, massive egos. We need to get rid of that. But it'll take time. A lot of players on huge money either need to be managed down on their salaries or managed out. That will be a process.

We need younger, hungrier players. We also just need better players. There's so much to fix.

And all of this while the club prioritizes engagements and who's hot on social media. Does anyone really believe the changes that are needed will be made?

I'm sceptical.

Its a sham. Chancers like Fletcher who have no fecking experience in building a winning culture or club are still involved. Shameful, we’re an absolute joke.

Football is a business as well
You do not destroy your assets, they have to try and make some money from Martial and not give him away for free
We really don't know the real story with Martial
lets hear what the manager says in his press conference Tomorrow

We’ll it starts with hiring a manager that isn’t over the hill and backing him no matter how painful it gets in the short term. Either that or moving Ralf to DOF at the end of the season and going down the route of hiring exciting young coaches and giving them the structure to succeed.

Liverpool from hiring Klopp to wining the league was 5 years, and we’ve potentially got a bigger budget which could expedite it slightly, but the contract, salaries and signings have to be completely out of the hands of the people who currently handle it.

I don’t think there’s a single fan who would care how much money we got for martial or any player if we won the league after their departure. Footballs a business for the people who handle the cash, none of us give a shit unless it starts to affect performances.
