Rangnick is a horrible person for his treatment of Martial when you compare it to Cavani. Both want to leave yet only one was is being treated like an outcast. Horrible management from him so far.
Martial isn’t going to be given the same preference as Cavani. Because Martial has gone completely to shit and Cavani is still useful.

He is almost unsellable. For most clubs, having the right mentality would be a prerequisite to signing someone.
However silky his touch is, he is a lazy bum and literally every other club knows it.
Best case scenario is another club agreeing to pay most of his wages while we pay a small chunk for him to be elsewhere.
We may as well keep him to be honest - pottering about the training ground and getting the odd minutes when others are injured

A lot of assuming going on here and it seems like you have already read into what you like.

The guy has been treated like shite this season although he is coming back from a serious injury to his knee. His girlfriend came out and exposed that he hasn't been injured for months. Rangnick should do more to get him back in the side instead of freezing him out. Our season has gone to shit because we are relying on other players that are doing just as bad.
Excuse me, what?

Cavani knows he is leaving in the summer, Ralf just wants him until then. He has said he will stay.

He has a work ethic that Martial will never have so no its not Ralf's fault, Martial is throwing his toys out.

Also, if Cavani left, we would not have to pay his wages, which we do with Martial.

I also like the way the club are going about this, Martial wants to leave and the club are asking for his full wages to be paid. If he is so keen to play football, lower your wage requirements and go play football, its pretty simple.

He doesn't want to do that, the club are completely right, he is out there saying he wants to leave, the club are not stopping him leaving either.

She did a live tick tok or Instagram thing where someone asked if he was injured and she no, it was a lie, he was fine. Whether she actually knows or whether he was telling her he was heading to training and going out to do something else is a different story however, but yeah she said that.
Let's have the dignity not to twist incidents to fit a desired narrative. The IG live incident came during the time when Ole claimed Martial was injured as reason for not playing him yet Martial was fit. Once the news broke that he was not injured, he was included in the squad against Watford. Carrick went on to start him in the game after and to include him in all his games, proving that he was indeed not injured.

There is more that meets the eye:
Claim 1: Requested not to be included in the team - does Martial and his agent have this much power over the whole club?
Claim 2: Awful season last year - Cavani, Rashford, Greenwood and Sancho have had a worse season at this moment in time than Martial last season both in regards to performances and stats, ..... but Martial.
Claim 3: Took himself out of the squad by calling out sick - It was Ole who claimed that he was injured when he was not. Also Cavani and recently Ronaldo have 'called out sick', and yet all have been included in the squad.
Claim 4: Under a new Manager he demanded a transfer - So did Cavani, Henderson, Lingard, Mata, Bailey. But all of them have been included in the squad except Martial.
Claim 1: Not saying it is about power but if it is agreed he is going it may be in everyones interests not to risk him and of course he might have asked, we don't know what we don't know and this is no more outlandish than people claiming he is exiled with no evidence.
Claim 2: The point was that when he was awful he stayed in the team so I don't understand your comparison, frankly it is hard to name a player this year who is not playing like shite
Claim 3: He did not come into training on two separate occasions after the Everton game because he was sick which meant him missing out on matchday squads. If he had been fit to train and Ole had somehow barred him from coming in and floated some bs story about him being sick I am pretty sure Tony would have said that but he has not.
Claim 4: All of the above bar Martial are press speculation, he is the only one who has come and said he categorically wants out. The others may be unhappy and we know Ralf has spoken with some of them and promises have been made which may or may not be kept but none of them has made a request to leave and they all waited to see what the Managers plans were whilst Tony did not.

For what exactly? Clarifying that she actually had no clue whether or not he was injured despite saying he wasn't? You are so entrenched in reading everything as direct insult to Martial that you can't even read things clearly, it's beyond weird at this point.

My point was Ole claimed he was injured, she said he wasn't. Whether or not she knew what the feck she was talking about it's best to take it with a pinch of salt regardless.

What’s weird is you making a stupid assumption that a man’s significant other might not know about his current life situation. Are you even reading what you are typing? How can you claim she might not know if he is injured or not. You’re just a weird guy at this point who spouts drivel about martial consistently.

Ole said he was injured, his wife said he hadn't been injured since the international break. So someone's lying or is misinformed, or maybe someone was so bang out of form or didn't want to be at the club the manager was covering for him? Either way, I don't care but I know for a fact who you'll insist was wronged in some way.

 I'm pretty sure you're Martial's mother at this point. He's probably never going to play for the club again and here you are defending his honor. It must really pain you to be constantly wrong about him.

Try selling Sancho anywhere on his current wage, and no one would buy him. Try selling DeGea anywhere at his current wage, and still no one would buy him. Time brokers loyalty, his wage just like Mata's and DeGea's is partly due to loyalty and time served at current club which would not be the same at a new club.
 He was given his contract because we are run by deluded dribbling halfwits who couldnt tell you the difference between a football and a cows bollock. Nothing to do with loyalty.

Im not pained about anything. All I care about is United competing for the title and if not at least top 3. The squad without Martial in MY OPINION is worse off. I’ve always maintained if we got better he could leave but we clearly can’t do better at the moment. Sticking by Martial this season would have seen us closer to the top than where we are right now. Ronaldo has destroyed the balance of the squad. There is no synergy in the side without him. All those useful penalties and playmaking abilities from martial are gone.

Well we're on the same page in regards to wanting what's best for United, and I would have loved nothing more than him to kick on from the good season he had to cement himself as our number 1 forward but he's regressed so badly that the good season now looks like a purple patch and below par performances are his average.

Ronaldo has definitely unsettled the team, you look at the second leading goal scorers behind him and it's Greenwood, Bruno on 5 and Rashford on 3. Martial hasn't scored a goal at home in over a year now... if we disregard injuries and suspensions he really hasn't done enough the times he's played to nail down any sort of position. I sided with him over the Mourinho row but I thought there might have been something in it, then Solskjaer comes out and pretty much name drops him and says he want's a striker that's willing to break his nose for a goal, which echo's what Jose was saying about him in a more diplomatic way. Since then we've chased 30+ year old forwards because the club believe they're an upgrade on Martial.

I'm sure somewhere in all that he's been unfairly treated or dropped in favour for someone else unfairly, but this is a results business and we can't keep hoping Martial turns up, we're still not sure what his best position is. He needed to start turning up consistently a few seasons ago but in the last couple of seasons it genuinely looks like his nose is out of joint that he has competition for the ST position at a club like Manchester United.

The club might be better with a firing on all cylinders Martial but we're absolutely better off with the Martial we currently have. At this point I think the damage is done and it's best for all parties to just call it a day.

Does anyone other than his fan boys on the caf actually still rate him?
I have seen this notion passed around many times but it seems off.

Here from Ole:
‘I have no plans whatsoever for him to play against us.
...He has proven doubters wrong so many times.’

“As I’ve said before we really rate Anthony. Last season was disappointing, we had injuries, he lost some form, the season before he was our top scorer.
"If Anthony is taking all the penalties, or Marcus Rashford last season would have taken all the penalties, that’s another 10-15 goals for a centre forward"

Here is what I have known to be true:
"The club is pricing him out of a loan move to Sevilla because they clearly know his quality and don't want to look like idiots if he goes else where and does bits."

That's scraping the barrell somewhat. Hes clearly not worth the wages / loan fee as there wouldve been a scramble for him otherwise. The fact that the issues around him seem to be down to his persona / attitude, thats just so disappointing.

Good to know that you agree he isn’t worth his current wage, and other clubs think he’s too expensive when United ask clubs to just cover his wages.

And that logic makes absoltuely zero sense. Keep a player and don’t play him instead of loaning him out to find some form, and possibly resale value if he doesn’t decide to stay. Right, sure…

Wish he d hurry up and leave, egos way too big, earnsway too much in relation to his performances or lack of them.

Attitude problems big time.
Another sulky youngster who earnt too much too soon, I think Rashfords doing his best to impersonate him, you've got to ask if there bad attitudes are contagious

Honestly this makes no sense. If you are a fan of the player first and foremost then possibly, but i struggle with that - its all about the club for me - really couldnt care less about players who want away

Still our best 'hold up play' player and dribbler in my opinion. Is he injured? I'm surprised that he has been used at all under Ralf

You're talking shit mate, making up stories all based on assumptions, and am not even a fan of Martial.

@KennyBurner was right to call you out on it.

Ole has said all sorts, he was even praising Alexis at some point before selling him.

I cannot stress enough just how idiotic this is

And with the way your club has operated and what's been said by presumably informed journalists, i'm not even sure you're wrong

Fascinating how many of us have been polarized by player FCs to the point of losing good reason and logic on discussing players. Many even fear to speak in favour of certain players lest they are accused of being in a player FC, otherwise they have to use a disclaimer; 'am not even a fan of this player'.

Anyway, petty allegiances aside...

Many of us are mocking Martial's situation with: 'why is it that clubs are not scrambling for him?'.
If I am to be literal, this is a slight on the club as well, considering that we 'scrambled for him' when he was one of the hottest teenagers in world football at the time only for him to have become this irrelevant. Usually hot foreign talents prefer Spain or Italy and I was pleased that we had managed to get Depay, Martial and later Di Maria.

I like the fact that out club is grounded and will not offer special treatment to the foreign talents like other clubs do, but also, I am not surprised that players like Halaand or Mbappe would never come to us, and why we needed 350K per week to even attract Sancho who is a British lad.

My observations:
- This has become the most publicized loan, and only because it is not in the club's interest as the manager has politely put it, usually our loans are quick.
- The market is only good for buyers, so the club feels like Martial would be a steal (yes even with his salary, as this can be absorbed in addons).
- The club does not want to sell or loan Martial even if the player wants to go for a loan.
- The club will only consider a transaction on the player once we have a new manager.
- No one wants to be responsible for selling an owner's favourite only for them to go shine elsewhere.
- He is the only player the interim manager has not publicly convinced to stay, and Ralf likely finds him off-putting since he is like an owner's pet.

My position:
1. We should support all our players.
2. The season is gone, let's focus on young players - loan and sell whoever needs game time elsewhere, and give it to the kids. Any player who wants to stay including CR7 should be on rotation. Play Mason, Rashy, Amad, Elanga, Shoretire and other kids from the academy now and let them have their identity without having to worry about older players giving them an attitude. The idea of loaning out Amad while keeping Cavani and Mata is just myopic!

Don't you want to loan CR7, Mason, 'Rashy', Amad, Elanga, Shoretire also? Being as the season is gone. Play the kids!

Every time I see this thread get bumped, I think, "Is he still here?"

He has truly made himself as close to worthless as one could be. Huge wages, terrible form, unprofessional, it's shocking there isn't a queue lining up for his services after all of that.

Will only believe this if he gets fined because that should be the next step when a player refuses to play. Horrible from Martial if true. He used to love the club so much I dont know how it’s come to this.
